The rhythmic thumps of the bed hitting the wall came to stop as a satisfied sigh escaped her lips and a quiet and contented huff escaped his into the cool air of the night. Both lay still from exhaustion with their eyes closed, savouring the feeling of their flesh against one another before one of them dared moved.

After a few minutes, Emma, lying atop of him, finally made to roll over so she was laying on the bed rather than him. Rolling slowly, Emma groaned as the movement caused her muscles to ache. Her small groan elicited a knowing smirk in the corner of Killian's mouth. She chanced a glance at him as she rearranged her pillow and noticed the curve of his lips.

"Smug bastard" she mumbled as a small grin formed on her face. Unable to suppress it and the giddy feeling she got by looking at his sated state. She lay her head on her pillow and stared up at the ceiling, not quite believing that she was home. Home. A place. No. Someone. Someone who made her feel secure, welcomed, like she belonged, and above all, loved. Who would have thought the lost girl would ever have that?

As she continued her musings, musings about her life and how she had come to be sharing a bed with the man who had crossed realms and time to bring her home. Home to her family and to him, she felt Killian gently grab her hand and bring it to his face. Repeatedly placing light butterfly kisses on her knuckles. It was something he often did and it was his way of reminding himself that she was really there with him. That she wasn't just one of the illusions he had seen night after night in the year he spent without her. It was also his way of reassuring her that he wasn't going anywhere. He was always going to be by her side, supporting her.

Emma was suddenly jolted out of her thoughts when she felt Killian's lips trail light touches up on her arm.

"What are you thinking about Swan?" Killian asked as he continued to trail light kisses from her arm up to her neck.

She turned so that she could face him, inhaling a deep breath as she did, startled to find his piercing blue eyes staring right at her as if trying to memorise every inch of her. She would never get use to the way he looked at her as if she was his everything. He raised his eyebrow as if prompting her to respond. She leaned into him and he wrapped his arms around her. Emma leaned into him more, tucking herself further into his embrace before whispering "Home...Home and how I'm glad that I've found it after all this time".

"Home….hmmm" Killian sighed contemplating her words and their unspoken meaning. It was a moment before he continued, "I'm glad my home found me". Placing a kiss on her forehead between each word.

She felt her chest tighten with love and smiled into his chest knowingly at his words. Home. Neither of them needed to say it, but they both knew that what each of them was saying was that their home was one another.
