Kira smiled from her seat on the side of the soccer game. Connor had the ball and was driving towards the goal. The crowd was on its feet. The only way for Reefside to win was if Connor made this goal. He kicked it as a player from the other team knocked him over. He never saw the goal. Only the roar of the crowd and the excitement of his teammates told him he had scored.
Kira waited until his team let him leave to congratulate him. "Great job," she said as he collapsed on the ground beside her. "You played well."
Connor made no move to respond to her statement. A beep caused him to groan. Kira looked over her shoulders and kneeled beside him. "Go ahead," she said into her bracelet.
"Kira, it's Dr. O. Is Connor with you?" the black ranger asked breathlessly.
"Yeah, what wrong?" she answered as Connor turned over and propped himself up on one elbow.
"There's a monster outside the school. Trent and Ethan are waiting for you. I have something to take care of, and then I'll join you," Tommy Oliver told his students.
"We'll be right there," said Kira as the communication cut.
"All work..." grumbled Connor as he stood up.
"Let's get this over with," Kira said as they ran away from the field.
When they joined up with the blue and white rangers, they found them trying to pick themselves off the ground. "What took you so long?" asked Ethan.
"If you wanted help sooner, why didn't you interrupt my game?" demanded Connor.
"Who's that?" Kira asked pointing to the monster. It was holding a young woman dressed in white hostage.
"New teacher," answered Trent. "She just started today."
"Bummer," said Connor.
The rangers lined up and took their stances. "Alright," called Connor. "I don't like this at all. Let her go and we'll consider not destroying you."
Not surprisingly, the monster laughed in their faces until the teacher elbowed him hard in the midsection and stepped on his foot. He let her go and started jumping around holding the injured foot. The teacher stood there with a frown. "Are you done yet?" she asked.
It looked at her like she was crazy. "Buddy, go back to Mesagog before the rangers destroy you. Or something worse happens," she said angrily.
The monster presided to laugh at that idea until she rose up her left waist and showed him her astro morpher. "Let's rocket!" In a flash of light, the teacher transformed into the White Astro Ranger. She pulled up her Laser Bow and fired several arrows at the monster. He was destroyed in minutes. She then disappeared in a flash of blinding light leaving four clueless rangers.
"What just happened?" asked Connor.
"I think we'd better talk to Dr. O," said Ethan.
