Introduction: Gyatso and Aang
Gyatso examined the young bald boy before him. This three year old Air bender was the only hope left for the world. With out him, civilizations would collapse under the tyranny of the Fire Nation and millions of people would perish fighting for their home lands and family.
It was hard to believe that Aang's legacy would have begun with a single introduction. Certainly one of the most important introductions in the world's history. The introduction between a Master and a Pupil is usually a very repetitive affair: The Master giving his student a firm glare, while lecturing him on his daily regiment or how he is to behave and how to address him. The student in turn will either be to shell shocked to reply and the master will believe him incompetent, or the pupil will shake his head too enthusiastically and possibly break something of much worth. I think you could paint you own picture from here.
But this was most certainly not a normal introduction; this particular introduction was between a Master, wise enough to know that one day his pupil will be the most powerful being in the world. You see, the reason Aang was the last hope for the world was because he was the Avatar: the bridge between the two worlds and the only one who could master all four elements.
So as Gyatso gazed down at his new pupil he placed his hand on Aang's bald head and said one simple word, "Welcome"
