A/n: Written for my college Creative Writing class. The Professor told us to write a poem from a minor character's POV from our favorite 'story,' which could be anything from a book to a movie, or in this case, a television show. And I've had Supernatural on the brain lately, what can I say? Naturally, I chose Lilith, as I love her mythology and how delightfully evil she is in this series. So, review if you wish. I'd appreciate it.
Lilith
I'm enjoying myself; immensely.
Though, that thought of it sickens me a little bit.
Is this what I've become?
From the First Woman created, to little more
then a demon, ruining lives and destroying souls.
I have these moments more often then I'd like to admit.
They stole my body, I rationalize.
It's only right that I take one back
even if I have to displace the original owner.
Well, not really displace. She's still in here,
Somewhere.
I don't care to go and look, traversing the halls
of this child's underdeveloped mind.
This is why I like inhabiting children.
I never had a childhood myself,
Created from dirt, full-formed, life breathed into me
by the divine. The very being who then asked me,
nearly begged me to submit
to the inferior fool created with me.
I refused, of course, leaving that 'paradise'
in favor of making my own destiny.
But, of course, it's never that easy.
My destiny was decided for me, again,
as I was cast into the pit and took a form
I never would have chosen.
Still, better Hell then what was asked of me.
But still, even a demoness needs reprieve from
the infernal realms. A vacation, if you will.
And one gets sick of being known as a succubus,
albeit the strongest one, and a mother of demons.
So, I chose a young girl,
ensuring that she would have an idyllic childhood,
her birthday every day, punishing those who would dare
to stop my, her, fun. Even her family members.
Of course, I had to bring a few friends along,
To make sure that my fun wouldn't be ruined
by a few pesky humans. An early warning system, if you will.
I can handle a few humans, even if one of them
Is demon stock.
And I'll relish the challenge.
Anything to alleviate a little boredom, right?
And if a little revenge is in order, well.
What better revenge then to bring about the end of days,
With Lucifer Morningstar at the helm?
We'll show the world
what divinity really is.
