Summary:

Always right

Hermonie Granger was always the first one to raise her hand in class, always had top marks in all her classes, Hermonie Granger was always right. Another fact about her was that she was in love with one of her best friends Harry Potter. As she stared at him, she knew for a fact that he wasn't in love with her

She stared at him, him with his raven black hair and emerald eyes. The eyes that when he looked at her made her go weak in the knees. She abandoned the book and sighed, she had heard of unrequited love from her books and she knew it hurt, but she didn't know it could hurt this much. It was as if her heart was being plunged with a thousand daggers repeatedly when she saw him with Cho.

"Hermonie are you okay?" He awoke her from her thoughts.

"I'm fine Harry." She was a bad liar and they both knew it.

"Your lying I can tell. Come on were friends you can tell me." When he said that she felt the daggers stabbing into her heart again.

"It's just…" she sighed, "never mind." He got off the chair and sat next to her on the couch.

"Come on tell me please" he looked at her with his eyes and she couldn't say no.

"Okay fine, but you have to promise that you won't make fun of me."

"I promise"

"Okay there's this guy" she looked at him for a reaction, he nodded for her to go on. " I think I might love him, but I know for a fact that he doesn't love me the way that I do."

"How do you know that he doesn't love you?"

"Because I'm always right" Harry smiled "Besides he's in a relationship with another girl."

"Hermonie if he's not in love with you then he's crazy and if he's to thick to realize that than he obviously doesn't deserve you."

"Thanks Harry."

He grinned "Your welcome."

The next night Hermonie was reading 'Hogwarts a history' for the tenth time when Harry walked in. Something was troubling him she could tell. His shoulders were slumped and his eyes didn't have the sparkle that they usually did. He sat down on the couch and put his head in his hands.

"Harry what's wrong?'' He jumped he obviously didn't realize she was there.

"I broke up with Cho"

"Oh Harry I'm so sorry." She meant it.

" Don't be I realized something actually."

"What?"

"I never really loved her, I realized that I loved someone else." She could feel the daggers piercing her heart again.

"She's a lucky girl." She could feel the tears brimming but held them back.

"Yeah she's really smart and she's funny, brave, and even if she doesn't think it she's beautiful." When he said this, he looked at her. She couldn't hold them back the tears began to fall. " Hermonie why are you crying?'

Hermonie could barley talk; her heart was being broken into a thousand pieces. She could only let out a stifled " nothing." While trying to wipe the tears away, that kept flowing. Harry walked over to her and kneeled.

"Did I tell you that she has the most beautiful amber brown eyes" he was now wiping the tears away with his thumb " She also has the most beautiful untamable hair ever." She looked at him in shock then he did something that shocked her even more he kissed her. It was the perfect kiss gentle yet full of love and she kissed him back with all the love that was in her heart. While she kissed him, all the pain melted and the daggers were gone. The last thought that crossed her mind was ' I was wrong and I'm glad'.
