THE BATCAVE-
Damian Wayne frowned, clicking from one computer document to the other.
The first document was a copy of a newspaper article, detailing the spoiling of a drugs deal by Batman and Robin. Nothing out of the ordinary. It was dated a few years ago.
The second document was what had Damian puzzled. It was a mission report from the Teen Titans, about an attack from Red X, and the subsequent request that Nightwing become his partner in crime.
Two completely ordinary documents.
With identical dates.
Damian leaned back in the computer chair, and tried to work out how Dick Grayson could be established as Nightwing in Jump City and be Robin in Gotham at the same time.
Maybe it was some sort of trick, to convince criminals Robin was still around?
But who was playing Robin?
And why wouldn't it be recorded in the Bat computer?
At the heavy tread of his father coming down the stairs, Damian clicked off the documents.
Later, he'd look into this further.
…..
ARKHAM ASYLUM-
The cell was dark.
But it was usually dark down here.
It made it really hard to see the writing on the wall.
"Hehe."
He knew what the writing said.
He had written it, after he had been thrown into this pit of insanity.
From one pit to another. There was no escaping life.
Even death didn't stick.
Man, the food here was awful.
He could probably find away to blame that on Batman too.
A lot of things were Batman's fault.
Not his death.
Just the fact that he wasn't alive.
Stupid Batman.
He'd never trust anyone again.
Maybe it was time to teach this new brat of Batman's that.
Someone should tell the kid to be careful who he trusts.
Someone should tell him that kids shouldn't be running around the street.
It wasn't safe.
"Ha!"
Someone could get hurt.
And it wasn't going to be Jason Todd.
Not ever again.
