As far as wars go, the gods of earth had plenty of experience. Wars and fighting have existed nearly as long as they had. They have seen wars between the mortals, which in some cases they had influenced, and of course there have been wars between the gods themselves. But they had never seen a war like this. A war where not only were lives at stake, but the fate of the earth itself. Earth has been invaded.
Portals from a world called Runeterra have begun to open on Earth and beings only known as champions have started to emerge. Never have the gods had to fear for much. They have never known an enemy such as this. Before now their biggest threat had been each other. But these champions… they pose a danger to them and to the entire world, and they must be stopped. At the dawn of this threat an alliance had been formed. An alliance that before now would have been unheard of. A true alliance of the gods to defend all of their homes from these deadly champions coming to bring death and destruction to them all.
