She gripped my hand tightly as we walked through a snowy field. It felt as if we were the only two people on Earth. Her fingers were as cold as icicles, but I didn't mind, as long as she was with me, I felt warm. We looked at each other lovingly, smiling like we've known one another since forever.
For a while, we walked in silence. The snowflakes were falling lightly on the ground. "Alfred." She said softly, gazing at me with her beautiful grass green eyes. "Yes Alice?" I answered. She sighed and said, "I don't ever want to leave this gorgeous place." I nodded, we both loved when it snowed outside. The scenery looked astonishing with everything covered in white.
"Do you wanna build a snowman?" I asked suddenly. Looking at the snow gave me a sudden urge to want to create one. Alice giggled and nodded. We found a perfect place to make one by two leaf less trees. As we were starting to create our snowman Alice asked me, "Why did you want to build a snowman, Alfred?" I shrugged and said, "The snow inspired me and plus, I haven't made one since I was a kid." "Me either." Alice responded sadly. I stopped and looked at her apologetically; I had forgotten that Alice's parents had died in a car crash when she was nine. She told me that every time it snowed, they would go out to build one. "Do you want to stop Alice?" I asked. She shook her head.
After what seemed like an hour, we finally finished. It looked kind of weird, but I've seen worst. "Now we have to add the nose, mouth and eyes." Alice said pulling out some buttons and a carrot. I laughed. "You seriously bought a carrot?" I ask jokingly. "Yes, for some reason, I knew we would end up making a snowman." She responded with a grin.
"Wow you have great instincts then." I say. Alice smiled as she added the nose, mouth, and eyes to our snowman. "Done!" She said stepping back from it. "Looks good, now all we need is a magical hat so we can have our very own Frosty the Snowman." I say chuckling. Alice didn't say anything about my remark, which I found weird. "Alice?" I questioned. When I turned to face her, tears were streaming down her cheek.
Instantly, I knew what was wrong. "Oh please don't cry Alice, I should have never suggested doing this." I say sorrowfully. "It's not your fault Alfred." She says taking her glasses off to wipe her eyes. "I'm actually really delighted you asked me to make one with you." She put her glasses back on and gave me a big smile. I knew she wasn't faking it. I hugged her tightly, wrapping my arms around her waist. We looked at each other, our lips an inch apart. "Thank you Alfred." Alice whispered. I kissed her softly on the lips to tell her that she was welcomed
