Do to all the recent deaths around this normally safe area, the Kira Task Force is currently heading towards the home of Watari's older brother to see if he knows anything that could be of help to them in this case, soon the task force arrive in front of a shrine with a 80 year old woman with long graying brown hair and black eyes a claw like scars on her right cheek, she is dressed in traditional miko guards swiping the large court yard but when she sees Watari and the others she stops swiping.
The woman looks at Watari and the others with a curious gaze however when she sees Ryuzaki her gaze turns ice cold and she says nothing as she goes into the two story house near the Shrine leaving the task force to wait outside.
Soon a 87 year old man with lower back length white hair tied in a low ponytail with a scarred closed left eye and a steel gray right eye, he is dressed in traditional priest guards however the most interesting thing about the man is the fact that he has a yumi longbow in his hand with a Engle feather arrow already knocked pointing towards the task force as the man says coldly "if you have a weapon or weapons on your person throw them onto the ground in front of you, and i wouldn't try anything unless you want me to shoot you".
The task force does as their told as Watari says "Hatori what has happened here to make you threaten us, and make Kana look at Ryuzaki with such coldness?" Hatori puts his bow on his back and the arrow in it's quiver then he puts the task force's weapons in a basket as he says calmly "we have every right act in this way towards the one's who are bringing a shinigami into our territory, so let's sit down and cut to the chase as to why you are here" Hatori leads the now slightly nervous task force into the house.
After they enter the living room Hatori tells them to go sit on the second sofa but to stay away from the first one as he goes to put the basket of weapons in the kitchen where Kana is making drinks and snacks.
Hatori looked his wife Kana as she puts some tea, crackers on one tray then a cup filled with steaming yellow and a side of apple slices on the other tray as Hatori says "Lemon sider again?" Kana says nothing only nods her head slowly while their hosts are in the kitchen the task force sit on the second sofa as they stare at the strange mass of white blankets on the first sofa.
Soon Kana comes into the living carrying two trays she sets the first one in front of the task force then she sets the second on the other sofa near the mass of blankets then both Hatori and Kana sit on the third sofa as Hatori says "so kid why are you here and why is there a shinigami with you" Watari gives Hatori a disapproving look as he says "i do wish that you would stop calling me a kid I'm 70 years old" Hatori gives a sharp smile as he says calmly "i found you in the streets abandoned at the mere age of 5 months and instead of leaving you to die i raised you by myself at the age of 17 no less, so i think I've earned the right to call you what i wish too, now then get the point as to why you brought not only the Japanese police, two teenagers and a shinigami but also L into shine grounds that i protect and into my home, and you can start by introducing these --people".
Watari starts with Mr Yagami, his son Light, his girlfriend Misa, Mr Mogi, Mr Aizawa and Matsuda then Watari says "we're here to see if you know anything about the recent deaths around the area" both Kana's and Hatori's eyes turn cold as Kana says calmly "I'm afraid that nether my husband nor i know anything about the deaths but why does it matter people die all the time after all it is the deal we make with lord death the moment that we're created so what does it matter how the deal is kept, can you tell me that L".
However before L can say anything out from the white blankets comes out a arm clothed in a long sleeve gray with a thick scar a around the whole of the wrist with a pad of paper in hand with the words written on it "Shinigami sir? well you go into the room above you and get the black bottle on the desk then bring it to me? please I'll let you have the apple slices that you've been looking at for awhile now" the shinigami leaves to do as he was asked.
Soon the shinigami returns with a black bottle and as he hands the bottle over be he takes his reward as he says "your a very interesting human to strike a none fatal deal with a shinigami, by the my name is Ryuk" the pad of paper returns with the words written on it "Thank you for accepting such boring deal in the first place Ryuk especially from someone like me who won't be of use much longer, and as for my name you may call meme AB" Ryuk gains a wide grin as he says "tell me did you know that gods of death love apples?" the pad of paper returns once more with the words written on it "who doesn't?" a roar of laughter rips from Ryuk's throat as he says happily "there won't be any problems between us and i may write your name down in my death when it's time for you to die I'll even make sure that you don't feel any pain after all it's every day that i meet fellow apple lover thathat's so interesting" the pad of paper returns quickly with the words written on it "Thank you for offer but I'm sorry Ryuk I already have someone who well kill me but we can share a apple before i die" Ryuk laugh's happily however his red eyes are anything but happy as he glares at the numbers above AB's head.
L says calmly "Hatori who is this person and what is in the bottle" however what happens next surprise's everyone in the room, before Hatori can say anything the black bottle falls to the floor as a completely white blanket covered AB stands up from the sofa then slowly walks towards L, as AB continues walking slowly towards L the white blanket starts turning red in the front and soon red is dripping onto the floor even when AB is finally standing in front of L.
L looks at the white/red blanketed form of AB as he says "Yes? can i help y--" L is cut off by his mouth meeting AB's bare left foot, the force of the kick is enough to send not only L flying over the sofa but also Light who is handcuffed to L having still not proven his innocence.
And as the both of them get back up the sound of a heavy cloth hitting the floor is heard and everyone looks to see the white/red blanket of AB falling off onto the floor, revealing a 12 year old girl with knee length white hair she is dressed in a long sleeve gray shirt and black cargo pants, however the most shocking thing about the AB are the thick scars wrapping around her neck, wrists and ankles, the flame like scars starting from the thick scar around her neck ending under both of her eye-socket's.
AB opens her eyelids reveilng crimson red eyes and she smirks sharply with red stained lips as she looks at L while she holds up the pad of paper with two words written on it "Hello Lollipop" L holds on to his head as he begins to mutter under his breath "No no! it can't be!" the smirk on Ab's face gains a much darker look at it even as she begins to coughing harshly into her hand making Hatori rush towards her while Kana rushes to get the black bottle on the floor.
Hatori catches AB before she falls to the floor as he says seriously "did you take your medicine after the shinigami gave it to you?" AB shakes her head slowly seeing her answer Hatori says "why not! you know tha--" Kana cuts her husband off as she says fearfully "H-Hatori! her medicine bottle is e-empty and this was the last b-bottle" Hatori eyes turn ice cold as he takes a cellphone from his pocket then after the line connect's he says seriously *" Son you need to get to the house as fast as possible bring a new bottle of medicine hurry she doesn't ha-"* the line disconnects and Hatori says "he hung up on me!" a small amount of blood flows though AB's fingers as she continues to cough and Hatori pets her hair softly as he says gently "shh it's gonna be alright he is coming back with medicine, do you hear me he is coming back to you, so don't you go dying before you see him again you hear me AB!".
It's Light who speaks for the first time as he says "why aren't you doing anything to help her she should be on her way to a hospital she is a child who is coughing up blood, so why aren't y-" Light is cut off by a cold male voice saying "she is everything however the one thing that she isn't is a child, and the doctor's at the hospital can't do anything to help her so stop talking already" everyone but Hatori, Kana and AB turn their gazes towards the new arrival a man in a black cloak that only shows his mouth and chin with a little bit of red on the end of his cloak.
The man kneels beside AB who is still in bold of Hatori as the man takes out a black bottle identical to the AB has already, soon the man says "Hatori hold her still and Kana don't anyone near untill it's over" Kana guard's the three on the floor while Hatori holds AB tightly as the man takes two spoon fulls of medicine before he locks lips with AB he massages her throat to make the medicine go down, then after all of the medicine is gone he unlocks lips before he says gently "Ai Birthday your trying to get me killed aren't you oh well i love you anyways" what L and the task force didn't expect was a paper thin voice to say gently "I'm sorry that I'm still such trouble for you B i guess that i well never be of use to y--" the man now known as B cuts her off as he says seriously "you were never and well never be trouble for me not ever, we've been over this love before you've done nothing wrong if anyone is to blame it's m--" Ai press's her bloody finger softly against his lips thus cutting B off as Ai says in that same paper thin voice aa before "let me see you and then I'll forgive you for trying to carry the wrongs of another man one who goes by the name of Kira it's his fault not yours, after all he appeared then made my already hellish life even worse, you on the other hand saved me brought me here and gave me a nam--" B cuts her off by kissing her gently as his hood falls away reveilng a 22 year old man with black hair similar to L's only the back is knee length hair tied in a low ponytail, he has black around his eye-sockets and his eyes are the same red as Ryuk's.
After B and Ai break apart Hatori says "fiancee or not i still don't want you kiss my adoptive daughter in front of me until she is of age" B gains a predatory smile as he says "well Hatori what do you know today is December 20st the fourth anniversary of the day that i named her so that means it is the fourth anniversary of her nameingday and that means she is 13 now thus making her adult well in our world anyways" Hatori lets B take Ai into his embrace as he says "dammit i should have said untill she is 60 or something but we all know that won't be possible".
L ruins the moment as he says seriously "hello Backup your under arrest for the murders of the three Jade family mem--" Ai cuts L off as she says sharply "if you ever call Beyond Birthday by that name again lets just say you better pray for a death note or something to fall in your hands, because Lollipop before i die in two weeks I'll take you back to hell with me" L glares at hatefully at BB who is snickering as he says "okay that's the last time i let you learn from Apachai, maybe I'll see if you can come with me to work, by the way what did happen the last time you went to ryozanpaku?".
Ai giggles slightly before she says "let's see first Kenichi started running around like a headless chicken while he screamed about Apachai trying to kill me during our training silly kenichi he should know better if Apachai wanted to kill me he would have done so the first time we met instead of carrying me all the way home on his back as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop, then after we finished training for the day we had rice crackers with Shigure and the elder then Shigure hit Ma in the forehead with one of her throwing stars as she said coldly for Ma to never come near me again, then around sunset Hatori came to get me and we left after Hatori and the elder sparred" at the mention of Ma BB growls dangerously as Hatori says calmly "i well deal with Ma after all Beyond if you did it you'd kill him, not to mention you'd end up being killed by the resident's of ryozanpaku for killing one of their own, and besides you have mission's all this week right?" before BB can answer a chilling laughter rings out in the room.
Soon a lean man looking to be about 30 years old appears in the doorway he has long gray/silver hair and a single braid on his right side long bangs blocking any view of his eyes, many ear piercings in both ears, long black fingernails and a long scar across his face, neck, and left pinky finger, he is wearing a robe which is pure black, skin tight black pants, over knee length black boots with many buckles, his attire also includes an incredibly long top hat, and a gray scarf strapped across his chest and knotted by the hips, an emerald ring on his left index finger, a band of prayer beads around his neck, a chain with six mourning lockets around his hip and in his right long black nailed hand a silver Death Scythe which is longer than himself, it has a long curved blade, looking like it grew out of the skull at the top end of the handle. A miniature skeleton adorns the scythe, which consists of the skull and a rib cage wrapped in thorny vine, The spine of the skeleton turns into the scythes long handle, which ends in a lower backbone.
The man looks at Ai as he says "so this is why you wanted half of your mission payments in medicine, it's hard to believe that you've fallen in love with a female who is going to die in two weeks --" BB cuts the man off as he says dangerously "Don't pretend not to have known all along because we both know that from the moment i walked into your shop the first time four years ago you've known everything, isn't that right UnderTaker" the UnderTaker begins to laugh wildly.
UnderTaker says "calm yourself child I'm not here for your mate's soul today the life span above her head is proof to that, I'm simply here to tell you that you must bring Ai to the lady of the Sky tonight at high moon and your free from active duty for a full month unless there is emergency" BB nods his head but as UnderTaker turns to leaves he see's Ryuk.
Then almost instantly Ryuk finds himself at the sharp end of UnderTaker's scythe as he says dangerously "well well if it isn't the foolish shinigami who left his own mate alone only to come back years later to find her dead in a train car" Ryuk glares at UnderTaker as he says hatefully "your the one who killed her aren't you" at Ryuk's words BB hands Ai over to Hatori before he walks towards the two beings of death, when he is standing in front of Ryuk BB flicks his wrist revilng the hidden blade on his arm and he press's the blade against Ryuk's throat as he says darkly "no he isn't i am! i killed that sick whore of a mother wbo sold her own son to the L project for a few hundred dollars and a bottle of whiskey, so the first thing that i did a week after being sold i tracked her down to the empty train car that she was living in before i killed her with the empty whiskey bottle that she loved more than her own son, so shut the fuck up you good for nothing blood sire of mine and if you ever hurt Ai I'll make your almost immortal life a living hell.
BB walks away from Ryuk without another word then he takes Ai into his arms in a bridal style carry before he walks away leaving a angery L, a confused task force, a sad Ryuk and three knowing friends, UnderTaker begins to laugh wildly as he says "Hatori old friend that successor of yours is truly something special instead of him being on a mission where he truly shines, yet i find one of the orders brightest of the new generation here taking care of a dying human female so Tori where do you think he is taking Ai too?, i put down one of my best coffins on the table that he is heading towards ether the order or ryozanpaku" Hatori smirks as he says calmly "sorry old friend i don't take sucker bets after all we both know that Beyond is heading towards ryozanpaku, why he chooses to live there when he is in Japan I'll never understand but it probably has something to with a certain grand master of jujitsu not only being the only doctor that he trusts with Ai but a doctor who happens to be his adoptive father as well".
UnderTaker grins as he says "so Hatori are you and Kana coming to the house for the surprise that the Lady sky has planned for the fo-two young one's after all she hasn't seen ether of you since you named the boy your successor" both Kana and Hatori nod their head's and UnderTaker leaves without another word.
L wastes no time as he says seriously "please give us the address of ryozanpaku i still have unfinished business with Beyond Birthday" Kana comes into the living with the basket of weapons then she goes to open the floor board's near the window reveilng a jet black katana and two pairs of black fingerless gloves, she puts on one the pairs of gloves then the katana in her white sash.
Kana throws the second pair of gloves towards Hatori who puts them on as he says "no I'll take you myself" Hatori leaves with Kana beside him while L and the task force follow behind them.
Beyond lays a now sleeping Ai down on the clinic bed as his adoptive father Akisame says sternly "cloak, robes off now i need to tend to your injuries" soon Akisame's white eyes turn ice cold as he sees wounds of torture old/new scars, knife marks, wipe marks, burns, bullet holes and the word [ASSASSIN] carved deeply into the full of Beyond's back still bleeding heavily.
And this is the scene that Watari, L and the task force walk into as Akisame says "while no residents of this dojo including myself approve of you being Hatori's successor you still have a home here regardless of your career, what i do approve of is what ever you did to the one's who carved the word Assassin into your back hours old at that" Beyond says "so that's what they carved into my back four hours ago, thank you and father im sor" Akisame cuts him off as he says sharply "do not apologize to me for being tortured for a month you apologize to Ai for being gone so long, now then can i help you gentleman with something" Akisame pulls a silver bullet out Beyond's left mid rib as L says calmly "we are here to arrest Beyond Birthday for the murders of the Jade family please hand him over to us".
Akisame sew's a few of the wounds closed as he says calmly "I'm afraid that i don't know of a family by the name of Jade, don't i do know that you can't arrest my son on false charges or at all for that matter" L says sharply "and why would that be" a chilling chuckle fills the house as a male voice rings out "L you can't arrest because he is beyond the humans laws because BB is under my protecti" Akisame cuts the large black fox off harshly as he says coldly "protection that's rich coming from the man who sends my son to distant lands only for him to come back a month late after escaping torture, so tell me Iori why didn't you save him a month ago".
The fox now known as Iori bares his fangs in warning as he says "while i can quickly travel from my home to where BB was being held captive by the enemy, i can not change the design's of fate to much so rescuing BB was out of my claws, however if you come ti the house you well see at high moon why i could not change anymore then i all ready have" before Akisame can say anything else BB bows his head respectfully towards Iori as he says calmly "Mentor forgive me for not reporting to you when i arrived in Japan i shall do so now --" Iori cuts BB off as he says "Talon saving your mate is more important so give me your report tomorrow evening, for today let me apologize to you for not being a better leader by protecting you".
As Iori begins to walk away BB/Talon says "as my leader you know that I've been though worse than a month of torture so don't apologize, i shall see you tonight" Iori leaves without another word just as Akisame finishes tending BB's wounds.
Kenichi and the Elder walk into the room as BB puts his robes back on but before he finishes they see the blood stains in his bandages that read [ASSASSIN] Kenichi rushes towards BB as he says fearfully "Talon-sensei what happened to your back! Akisame-sensei please you have to help him!" BB chuckles slightly while pets Kenichi on the head as he says calmly "Akisame has already done more than enough I well just have to live with these new scars, and what do i always say about scars hmm Kenichi?".
Kenichi try's to look at the floor only for BB to gently make him look into his red eyes as Kenichi says softly "if scars were wishes then there would be nothing left to wish for nor anything left to fight for" I'm sorry Talon-sensei i was rash again wasn't i?" BB nods his head as he says calmly "yes you were however you are still young so i don't expect you not to be and don't be so quick to grow up you still have plenty of time, do you understand Kenichi?" Kenichi nods his head slowly then BB gives him a proud smile before he says "good now go find Shigure so she can teach you how to better use a long sword do not get yourself killed or you well not be getting a lesson from me before i leave the Japan again" Kenichi quickly leaves to go find Shigure.
The Elder laughs happily as he says "Talon you really should reconsider going be to the order for awhile to help to train Kenichi the boy simply adores your teachings even if he has no idea that your a assassin --" Talon cuts the Elder off as he says seriously "Elder do you think that i would lie to the boy about my being a assassin Kenichi has known for four years since the first lesson that i kill Templars not only for a paycheck but also to get Ai's medicine, he throw up when I told him while he stared at me like a monster then i grabbed him carefully by the arm and took him to Hatori's shrine, and do the 7 of you know why?" everyone looks towards the door to see Kenichi and the seven other residents of ryozanpaku standing there.
Some shake their head's while others stay silent even as Talon says calmly "i did not take him there to meet Hatori no i took Kenichi there to meet the reason for my being a assassin i took him meet Ai Birthday --" L cuts Talon off by saying sharply "oh so then i guess that I'll just have to arrest Ai Birthday for being a part of murde--" L himself is cut off as he blocks a hit to his face not thrown by Talon.
But by Kenichi who quickly uses the fake hit to shift L's center of balance untill L is on the floor under the full weight of Kenichi as he has one hand tightly holding L's wrists above his head as the other hand has a small pearing knife inches away from L's left eye as Kenichi says in a ice cold tone that none of the seven residents of ryozanpaku has heard "L Never threaten my Sensei and even more importantly Never threaten Ai infact don't come near her again, because while miu and all seven of my Sensei's can protect themselves Ai is not able too do so and after the hell she was born into she shouldn't have to ether, so if i find out that you hurt her in anyway shape or form I'll make good on my promise to protect the people that i care about even if i have to end your worthl--".
Kenichi is cut off by a pair of thin arms wrapping around his neck as a paper thin voice says gently " shh Kenichi it's alright don't kill or cry especially not for somone like me don't waste your kindness or tears on a monster like me" many gasps fill the room as Kenichi says "h-how can you say that your not a monster!" tears start to fall from closed eyes as Talon kneels down beside Ai then she shakes her head as he says calmly "Ai let me see your eyes now" then after a few more words Ai opens her eyes but instead of red only milky white eyes stare at everyone as they look in shock even while Talon carefully takes the now shaking Ai in his arms as he says softly "Love why didn't you tell me that you were beginning to go blind" Ai says "you already work yourself to death just to get me medicine for what is going to try to kill me in two weeks if you don't do as i asked and kill me because from the moment you gave me the name Ai Birthday my life was yours weather you wanted it or not, and even though you could have left me in that basement after killed my b-blood family --".
Talon sharply cuts her off as he says "those filthy animals were never your family not after they started torturing you from birth in ways that make my own torture look like heaven because at least i wasn't beaten, burned, cut and raped for almost my whole life unlike what those animals did to you, and if i had the time four years ago i would have tortured the three of them before i killed them but i more focused on going you the fuck out of there to a safe place to heal to finally cry your eyes out from what they did to you, but things don't work out as planned because not three months later do we get the news that you have a inoperable brain-tumor and that you'll die in a year, however i knew due to my shinigami eyes that from the first moment i saw in that basement chained to the floor that you would die two weeks from now--" Ai cuts Talon's rant off by kissing him on the lips.
They break apart then Ai says "beloved i don't care that your ranting about my past but you need to tell your about why Kenichi reacted in the way he be about me, tell them what happened when we meet at Hatori's shrine for the first time" Talon nods his head before he says "as i was saying before a certain Lollipop interrupted, i took Kenichi to meet Ai Birthday although it was not a good day she had a coughing fit that ebded with her being forced to stay in bed, both Kenichi and i went in though the living room window then next thing i know Kenichi is freaking out because of the blood on Ai's white blankets but Ai stop his freaking out with two words she said it's okay to him and Kenichi stopped instantly then i told him that this truly incredible woman is the only reason why i killed in the place be it the murder of the jade family or my work as a assassin, and as we turned to leave Ai asked me if Kenichi was my student and i said that it was for Kenichi to decide if he wanted to learn from a killer who knew a little bit of everything from assassination to battle tactics to stealth, we left for ryozanpaku soon after and as we reached the gates Kenichi told me that he wanted to learn from me despite the fact i kill because he see's both Ai and i as family, and that is the reason why he reacted the way he did L you threated his family and is something no one should ever do but hey count yourself lucky to be alive because you also threatened two of ryozanpaku's residents".
The Elder says seriously "Talon is certainly correct about one you have threatened people that those who call his dojo home all care very dearly about and for that I kindly ask you all to leave and never set foot into these walls again or let's just say you won't like finding out about my younger years" soon L and the task force leave as asked leaving behind a world that has no need of them.
