Chapter 1: Background
Nevaeh P.O.V.
My name is Nevaeh Angel Evans. I am just a normal seventeen year old girl, or at least that's what I was trying to tell myself. My life has been anything but normal over the last year. Maybe I should just start from the beginning.
I was the only child in my perfect little family. I loved my parents they were amazingly kind people, they showered me with love. I never wanted for anything but they also taught me to give back, to help those less fortunate than us. They raised me to be strong and independent but also to think about how it would affect others before I acted. They were the best parents a girl could ask for and life was great.
That all came to an abrupt and last April. y parents were coming home from a trip for their wedding anniversary when their plane crashed. My world was crushed. I didn't know what would happen to me, at sixteen I wasn't old enough to take care of myself. I had very little family and had no idea what would become of me. Luckily for me, my cousin had been through a similar situation. Out of sympathy she came to my rescue.
At only twenty-five Adrianna Bennett defiantly didn't have to take in an orphaned teenager but she knew what I was going through so she did. I spent the next nine months with her while she finished her senior year of college.
The last three months we have been searching for a new place to call home. I still have my parents' home in California but there were too many memories there that I wasn't ready to deal with yet. So we decided to find something new. Thanks to my parents' amazing life insurance, money was no issue. We could go anywhere but we wanted to find some place we would be happy to call home for a long time to come. So far everywhere we had looked had fallen short of our high expectations.
Adrianna had one more place in mind. As a child, she visited her cousin Bonnie from her mother's side in a beautiful small town called Mystic Falls...
A/N: ok so this is the first time I have ever written a fan fiction for anything but twilight , but I have been rather inspired lately to write a vampire diaries story so here it is ... this chapter is just a bit of background on the characters I created. for any of you who have read my other story "the pull" I am having serious writers block and have put that story on the back burner for a while. let me know what you guys think leave me a review please!
