Hey, this is based off of a weird dream I had, and a friend told me to
write about it. It follows the basic story of FF7, but Aeris is the main
character, so she doesn't die. Some minor stuff is thrown around for the
plot.

Cloud ran out of the reactor area, aware of the confusion surrounding the explosion. Ignoring it, he hurried onward into the street. Stopping briefly to find a quick escape path, he was interrupted by a beautiful girl in a dress asking what happened. Cloud looked back, not wanting to involve her in the danger. "Nothing, nothing." He saw that she was selling flowers and changed the subject. "Flowers, huh? You don't see many in Midgar." She shook her head. "No, I guess not. Do you want one? They're only 1 Gil." He blinked, and replied, "Sure." She smiled as he gave her 1 Gil. "Thank you!" "No big. Later, I have to be somewhere.." At that, he ran off toward the train station, kicking up some rocks and not noticing. At the same time, a materia fell down from above somewhere and landed in a small pail beside the girl labeled "Plant Food". The liquid inside began to glow faintly.
Aeris looked after the boy as he hurried off, glad someone had finally bought a flower. She didn't notice when she turned to go into the nearby church that her foot settled over some of the rocks that he had disturbed. They slid out from under her, causing her to fall back. Though she managed to catch herself from completely falling, she landed on the pail of glowing plant food. As she stood back up, Aeris noticed that it had gotten all over her back and hair. Sighing, she picked up the pail--not noticing the glow--and walked into the church. It wasn't until she was inside that she started to feel lightheaded, but before she could sit down she fainted near the flower bed.
