Cloud was on his bed playing Kingdom Hearts 3, but when Tifa came to him, Tifa called his name, she said "Look, I found this on the streets." it was a letter. Cloud took it from her and read it, he said "Alright let's see here." He opened the letter and it said
Greetings Cloud.
You have been selected to be in the Smash Bros. Roster as a DLC Fighter, you will be introduced on December 15 at 2:00 in a Christmas Party, if you accept, please come. We will see you soon.

Cloud was not expecting to be in the Smash Bros. Roster. "I think I should go." he said, then Tifa asked "It's dangerous out there, are you sure?" Cloud then sighed and said "Yes, I'm going." Tifa then said "Link is just gonna kick your butt again, remember that time you lost against him in Death Battle?" But Cloud said "Whatever but you lost against Yang that time, but who cares about ending debates like that? Link never had 10 generations of experience, he had a bloodline in the child and unified timelines in the official Zelda timeline. My decision is final." Tifa then said "OK. If you insist."
Cloud got his Sword and his jacket on and headed out to get to the Christmas Party, his group bid farewell to Cloud, and wished him luck and Cloud headed out. He had to go through dangerous mountains, ice caverns, cold forests, thin ice lakes and enemies that comes his way, he was getting up the mountains when a giant blizzard came up, he went and got to a cave and he was still energetic, it got late, he slept in the cave, then when morning came, the blizzard stopped, he got out and continued on his journey.
Cloud then kept going and going until he was freezing, so he decided to build a fire, he got some wood, sticks and paper, he then lit them on fire. He decided to camp out there, when the fire died he slept until morning but a monster kidnapped him when he woke up, but he saw the monster sleeping, Cloud made it out with his stuff without getting caught, he kept going on the road and he fought off enemies and found a Chocobo, he rode the Chocobo and the monster caught up, he got off the Chocobo, fought the monster and defeated it. Cloud got back on the Chocobo and when he got through the storm, he thinks he found where the party took place.
He let the Chocobo free and it ran back into the wild, he then went up to the door and knocked on it, then a Moustached Plumber came with red clothes, blue overalls and brown boots, it was Mario "Hello Cloud, we were-a expecting you. Come in." Cloud then said "Thanks Mario." Cloud came in.
When he came in, everyone saw him and welcomed him, Roy came and said "Finally we meet, the name's Roy, Character for DLC. Ryu came up to him and said "Hey, pleasure to meet you. My name is Ryu." Ike saw Cloud and thought this "I thought I'm the only pretty boy here." Pit then said "Hey Cloud, nice to meet you. The name's Pit." Link came up to him and said "Hey Cloud, Long time no see, I apologize for the whole Death Battle thing." Cloud forgave Link, and Link gave him a gift "Merry Christmas Cloud." Link and everyone said to Cloud.
