It's a kinda old and crap song but good for the context.

Sam stepped out of the limo, her dress a glittering blue number. She was wearing strappy stilettos and a beautiful diamond necklace given to her by a secret admirer. Sam walked into the hall and took a deep breath.

Phil was standing at the edge of the dance floor watching everyone have a good time.

'When would Sam realize he loved her!' he thought, he was her secret admirer, he saw her at the door, she looked incredible. Phil just wanted to run to her and pick her up and swing her around. He started walking over but Stuart got there first. He swore under his breath and spied Zain getting a drink at the cocktail bar. If he'd had been there a moment later he would have seen Sam push Stuart away and come and look for him.

Sam shoved Stuart away saying that she hated him and that she didn't want him back after 3 years not ever. Sam walked to where she had last seen Phil, but he was gone and so she went out side and sat on the steps and cried. Suddenly Jo came up next to her and asked her if she wanted to join her and Emma for a dance. Sam accepted wiping her eyes. Little did she realize that Emma and Jo had planned for them to bump into Phil on the way past the drink's bar.

Sam was looking everywhere for Phil but couldn't see him. Meanwhile Jo and Emma were dragging her to the bar and gave her a shot and told her to drink it quick, so she did. But while she was doing this Emma slipped away and went to find Phil who was sitting at the other end of the bar, she grabbed him and dragged him to Sam. Jo and Emma slipped into the crowd gathering on the dance floor.

Phil turned to face Sam and looked embarrassed and gestured towards the dance floor, Sam nodded. Suddenly a slow dance came on and Phil took Sam into the middle of the floor. They started dancing, Sam laid her head on Phil's chest and at that point they, to Sam, were the only two people in the room. The song stopped and Sam looked up and giggled everyone was wolf-whistling them. Phil turned her head away and whispered,

'Do you want to go someplace more private?'

Sam agreed and Phil picked her up and carried her outside. While entranced in a passionate kiss!
