Later that night Andrea walked up to Daryl's tent. She was going there to see how he was doing. When Sophia came out of that barn he had to hold the only family that little girl had left in this world.
This horrible messed up world.
"Hey" she said softly "can I come in?"
He nodded, as she opened the tent door. She sat down opposite him giving him a soft look.
"What do ya want?" he mumbled not making eye contact with her.
"I wanted to see how you were holding up"
"I'm fine" he said almost angrily. He knew she was not going to leave till she got a satisfying answer.
He sighed. "Been better" he said lifting his eyes to hers.
"I can tell your upset y'know, I saw the look on your face when Sophia came out-" She stops herself right there because she thinks she can see some pain rising in his eyes.
"I know ya can tell am upset, ya wouldn't be 'ere if ya didn't think I was upset" He says as his eyes fall from hers and just stare at the tent door.
"Y'know, I do care about you, Daryl" She said not fully understanding why the hell she is saying this.
He looks up at her for a split second before saying "Ya tired?" gesturing to the space next to him.
She smiles at him and slides next to him, not out of reach.
After a few minutes she sighs and says "You were the first person to make me laugh since Amy died" finding it hard to get out her words.
"Yeah, so?" He asked a little confused.
"It means something to me, you mean something to me" she says rolling over to face him.
They hold each others gaze for a minute before his hand goes to cup her cheek.

She dosen't leave his tent that night. They wake up together, his hand wrapped in her hair and her lying naked half on his chest and half on his sleeping bag.
"Hey" she says, smiling her voice groggy from sleep.
"Hey" he says pressing his lips to hers.
"That was... something" he said looking awfully pleased with himself.
"Yeah, it sure was, we're doing that again" she said grinning at him.
"Ya ain't gonna hear any complaints from me" he said letting his hand wonder down her lush body.
