Summary: Rory rethinks her path in life/L&L try to find what they mean to each other/Takes place after Bon Voyage. (I'm bad at summaries!)
----------------
What could this mean? Lorelai thought. Did it mean anything, or was I just imagining that it did?
She sat there with her coffee in her hands waiting for Rory to show up at Luke's Diner so they could get going to go meet up with Emily for lunch. Lorelai was thinking about her relationship to Luke, they hadn't really talked since their kiss. Just then, Rory came bursting in.
"Sorry, I got caught up with Lane. The twins were tired."
"It's okay. Let's get going. You ready?"
"Yep." Rory said, but she noticed her mom was deep in thought.
When they had stepped outside the diner and were in the jeep, Rory turned to her mother.
"What are you thinking about?" She asked, concerned.
"Nothing, kid. It's fine, I'm fine."
"Is it about Luke?"
"It's just that we haven't talked." Lorelai answered, and she did look a little sad about that.
"Maybe you should start the conversation."
"Maybe. We're here, let's go in."
"Okay."
(Inside Emily and Richard's house)
"Hey mom." Lorelai said when her mother came down the steps.
"Hello Lorelai, Rory." Emily answered.
"Hi Grandma."
"Alright, well, let's get some drinks." Emily said quickly.
They followed her and sat down. They didn't really speak, no one knew what to say. Soon the maid came and they went to the table. A small dog came rushing into the kitchen. Emily screamed.
"What is that…that, that thing!" she shouted at the maid.
"It's a dog, Mrs. Gilmore." The maid replied.
"Get it out of this house! I will not have a dog in here!" She followed the maid who was chasing the dog. Lorelai and Rory were left sitting at the table. They started laughing, and Lorelai suddenly got a mysterious look on her face.
"Let's go, Rory." She said with her eyes sparkling.
"What, no! We are having lunch!" Rory exclaimed.
"Fine. I'm leaving, I don't know about you." Lorelai teased.
"I'm coming, I'm coming."
Right before heading out the door, Lorelai shouted, "Bye, Mom! See you later!" and just as they got in the car and were driving away, Emily came running out of the house shouting.
They drove straight to Luke's, and Lorelai said it was their real lunch. As they sat down, Luke came over with the coffee pot.
"All your getting today is grilled cheese, that's about the only thing I still have left." Luke said.
"What?" Rory complained.
"A million people came in last night and the only thing left is bread and cheese."
"Ugh. It's a good thing you have good coffee." Lorelai said, before taking a sip.
"Right." Luke responded before going to make them their sandwiches.
Lorelai glanced sadly at Luke when he walked into the kitchen. Rory noticed, but decided not to say anything.
"Okay Carrie, I'll take you fishing, but only with your brother Tyler." Lorelai imagined Luke saying to their kids. "I love you" she imagined Luke telling her early in the morning. Then she realized what she was doing and tried not to think about Luke. Except the harder she tried, the more she realized she loved him. The more she realized she needed to tell him that.

A/N-Okay, this chapter was pretty crappy. I'll try to improve on the next one. I'm pretty sure it will be better. The update depends on the reviews, and in your review, please tell me if I should continue or not. Thanks, and I hope you enjoyed it.
