Amigos OK, It's only been like, 48 hours since I've gotten 45, but it has inspired so many short Marco stories for me, its not even funny. So expect a lot of Marco posts from me over the next few days. I'd also like to use this space to apologize for 'You're A God'. Its one of those things you write when you realize that school starts in three days, and you haven't finished a fic the entire summer. I've taken everyone's suggestions, and a few of my own ideas, and combined it all to make a revised version, which should come out soon. Also...
I just want to thank my buddy Marcus for being there through the crisis last May. Marcus, I owe you many favors, and I hope you stay my bud for a long time. :D

It was midnight. I sat outside under a tree, looking up at the stars and the moon. I didn't have to go to school tomorrow. I didn't have to go to school at all. Who was to care if I stayed up late.
Besides, I wasn't really supposed to go out in the day, for someone could see me and realize "Hey! Marco's not really dead!"
I noticed a shape blot out some of the stars above. The shape of a falcon. The falcon landed next to me and demorphed. Jake leaned against the tree trunk on the other side.
"Hey amigo."
"Hey Marco."
We sat in silence for a while. Finally, Jake spoke up. "I'm sorry."
I looked at him. "For what?"
Jake laughed. "For everything. For doubting you. For yelling. And..."
"And what?" I knew what he was about to apologize for, but I asked anyway.
"For Cassie. For me and Cassie. I know you feel left out a lot, like it's me and Cassie, and then Tobias and Rachel, and you have no one."
"Did Cassie tell you that?"
"Yep."
"It's OK. I read a book once, about these 16 people who were going on a quest to a new world. 7 of the men married with 7 of the women, and all that was left was the unattractive woman, and the gay man. And as the group became more and more dominated by the couples, the last two were slowly thrust to the edge of group. Orson Scott Card man, he's pretty good."
"I didn't know you read," Jake said.
"I have a lot of time on my hands."
"So what happened?"
"They ended up getting hooked up anyway and had two kids."
"Oh..." Jake went on. "But I know that our friendship has become a little strained. I'm really sorry. Cassie means a lot to me, but you were here first. Or whatever. So sometime, you wanna aquire some kid, and we can go hang out at the mall, just like the old days, before all this?"
"Yeah. That'd be cool. Thanks Jake."
"Anything."
