Dedicated to the cast of LSSE's 2006-2007 production of Beauty and the Beast

Perfection blinds us from what's Perfect

Paws that are beautiful gentle and warm to hold and for tentatively touching waists

A gentleman but blinded by looks not to be convinced

A lady blinded by stories still searching for her own

Everything showing but not seen heard or felt

What is right then?

Emotions and imperfections that make us perfect

Or outer beauty when the inside is empty of everything but a mirror

Can you be shown or coaxed, or do you have to realize love all on your own

Laid bare and back again to find yourself

Cursed and blessed, with time short to find her

Convince her

Never force her, to much to be lost, to much to be gained

Not either a step forward or a step back stuck in the middle of nowhere

A petal falls darkness slowly edging into life

When is it right to make a decision?

To show a heart a softness under a beastly exterior

And reveal the inner beauty

The outer will follow

The right time to realize it's what you've been searching for under your nose

A diamond in the rough

A rose among thorns
