This story is 1000% based on Stephanie Myers, The Twilight Saga.
I was so obsessed with that movie franchise, I can't tell you how many times i rewatched the first movie when i was 10 or 11
I recently got hulu and watched all the movies in one day
So I decided to turn my favorite anime into the fucking Twilight saga this is going to be horrible!
WHILE WRITIN THIS INTRO I STILL HAVEN'T DECIDED ON A JACOB SO YA
Also charecters will be a bit OOC, and this definitly wont follow the rules of Twilight exactly, Im not gonna have them FuCkiNg Sparkle
Y'all are either gonna hate this or love this theres no in between but its literally easter and I'm not cerlebrating so YEET
I'd never given how much thought to how I'd die.
But dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go.
So, I can't bring myself to regret the decision to leave home. I would miss Hargeon. I'd miss the heat. I would miss my eratic and harboring mother, and her new husband.
"Come on ladies, I love you both but we got a plane to catch!" yelled my mother's new husband. My mother kissed me on the cheek and we pushed ourselves to say goodbye, even though we both don't want to. But they want to go on the road, so I'm going to spend some time with my dad, and this will be a good thing.
I think.
I have lived in Hargeon most of my life with my mother, when my parents got divorced, my mom got most custody with me. I was still able to see my dad from time to time.
In the state of Fiore, under a near constant cover of clouds and rain, theres a small town named Magnolia, population 3,120, and this is where I'm moving. My dad's name is Jude, he's the cheif of police. Currently he just picked me up from the airport. We haven't seen each other in so long that our convorsations are so dry, we hardly talk at all during this car ride.
"You're hairs longer." Jude said, trying to scramble to patch over the akward silence.
"I cut it since the last time I saw you." I answered back leisurley.
"Oh.." he sighed "Guess it grew out again." He said, though there was a hint of guilt in his voice.
We finally pulled up into my childhood house. The place I lived up until I was about 5 or 6, it always kinda blurry before age 10.
Its a rickety old house, but its cozy. Standing outside, it looks like it did since the last time I was here. I used to spend two weeks here almost every summer, but it's been years.
Jude and I walk to the front door, he struggles to unlock the door but once he does and i step inside, its like a wave of nostalgia hits me.
I hate nostalgia.
We both struggle to carry my bags up the stairs as we march to my room.
We make it to the top of the stairs, suddenly my dad clears his throat, "I've cleared some shelves off in the bathroom."
"Oh right." One bathroom. We set my things down on the floor in my bed room. We stand there for a couple of second before my dad gestures to a desk that I don't remeber being here when i was last here.
"It's a pretty good work lamp." He says, gestureing to the lamp beside him. I just nod my head. "Sales lady picked out the bed stuff... You like- You like purple right?"
"Purples cool..." I sighed. "Thanks." He looks around my bedroom before taking off. One of the best things about Jude.. He doesn't hover.
A couple hours later, I hear a horn honking outside. I walk over to the window and look down to see a man in a wheel chair. He has ebony hair that could rival obsidian, his face is square, but a sharp jawline, and hes got a five o'clock shadow. He has two long earring handing down, they're shaped like crosses, but most noticeably he has a large scar across the right side of his face.
I start to walk downstairs and as I exit the house, theres a boy with them too that I didn't notice before. His hair is the same color as the man in the wheel chair, but his is longer, and matted. Both of them have very dark skin, but not too dark. The boy, probably in his teens, has a cross necklace hanging around his neck, to match his fathers earrings. He's toned, and his muscles almost bulge out of his shirt. Both of them look extremly familiar.
"Lucy, you remeber Silver Fullbuster, right?" My dad says, gesturing to the man in the wheel chair.
"Yeah." I mutter, finally having a name to a familiar face. "You're looking good." I said as I shook Silvers hand.
"Well I'm still dancing." He said with a smile and a shrug, "I'm glad you're Finally here. Jude here hasn't shut up about it since you told him you were coming." he chuckles
Jude rolls his eyes. "All right, keep exaggerating, I'll roll you into the mud."
"After I ram you in the ankles!" The two older men start goofing off in the street, rolling each other around. The younger boy comes up to me and offers me his hand. I shake it.
"Hey I'm, uh, Gray." he said. "We used to make mud pies when we were little."
"Right, No, I remeber." I nod my head. Gray chuckles. I take a look into the street to see my dad still rough housing with Silver. I roll my eyes and giggle "Are they always like this?"
"Its getting worse with old age." He chuckles slyly.
My dad pats a car next to him, slammin his hand down on a red chevy truck. "So, what do you think?"
"Of what?"
"Your homecoming present." My dad corrects me
"This?" I point to the red chevy
"Just bought it off Silver here." He says, patting the truck once more. Silver smiles and nods his head.
"I totally rebuilt the engine for you." Gray mentions. Well that's sick.
"This is perfect, are you joking me?" I run to open the door, and accidentally slam it into Gray. "Oh god, I'm sorry."
He reassures me that its fine, and we both hop into the car. He explains to me that the car is a bit tricky to turn on, but other then the clutch, I should be fine. While he explains what he did to the car, I can't help but look at his face. His features are subtle, he has a button nose, and beautiful dark blue eyes. He has a square face just like his father, but he has less stubble, but you can still tell its there.
"Do you want a ride to school or something?" I offer.
He shyly smiles. "I uh, got to school on the reservation." Right... Totally forgot.
Gray and Silver are part of an indian tribe nearby called the Quilettes. I should've figured he wouldn't be going to Magnolia high.
"Right," I shake my head "That's too bad. It would have been nice to know one person."
My dad Jude shoes them off, mubling something about a big day for me tomorrow because I have school. So they both go home. I almost feel a pang in my heart watching my only friend here leave. I walk upstairs, and it's about 7:30, but i just decide on sleeping for the rest of the day.
My First day at a new school, it's March, the middle of the semester. As I grab my bags, my truck makes a huge backfire noise.
Great.
I hop out of the car, hoping everyone will just ignore the new girl. "Nice ride." Someone snidely says.
"Thanks" I mutter, knowing it wasn't a compliment. So much for ignoring the new girl. I sramble inside the school, trying to find the classes my schedule gave me, because no one gave me a map. People brush past me in the hall, and sometimes they hit me in the shoulder like I'm nothing.
Gotta love high school.
Shortly after, someone pats me on the shoulder and greats me with a big smile. "You're Lucy Heartfilia, the new girl!" He says, a bit too cheery for me. "Hi, I'm Max, the eyes and ears of this place." He smiles. "Anything you need, a tour guide, lunch date, shoulder to cry on?" I can't tell if he's being serious or not.
I shrug. "I'm kinda, the more suffer in silence type?" I say softly.
"Good idea, new feature, you're on the headline baby." he says excitedly
"No I'm not.." I abrubtly say. "You.. uh, Please don't have any sorta-"
"Whoa chillax, No feature."
"Thanks."
We walk further down the hall, and I took him up on his offer to be a tour guide. I had no idea where anything was in this school, it was kinda irratating. The counslers gave me nothing but a schedule, no map.
Anyway, we got through first, second and third period. Fourth period was the worst. Why?
Because it was P.E.
I tried to have the P.E. teacher opt me out in playing, but he insisted I play, screaming about being a 'Man' or something. So I was forced to dress out and play volley ball.
We get on the court and they seprate us into to teams. First they divided the genders, but then they put us on teams of course. The ball doesn't come my way for a while, but then it starts to come my way. People just try to get it before it gets to me but theres a couple of times i hit it and make it a bit worse. This time the ball comes flying at me, and hit it to the side, accidentally hitting a guy in the back of the head. I run over to him to appolgize.
"I'm so sorry, I told them to not let me play." I gush out, embarrsed.
"No its alright, you're Lucy right? The new girl?" He asked.
"I guess that's my new name huh?" I sigh, he cuckles.
"My name is Jet." he offers his hand and i shake it, suddenly a girl comes up to us, she has pretty purple hair and blunt bangs, her gym outfit almost looks like it'll burst out of the seems because of her perfectly curvy figure.
"She's got a mad spike, huh?" She says and giggles, though I can tell it's fake. "I'm Laki, you're supposed to be from Hargeon right?" I nod my head. "Aren't people from hargeon supposed to be like... really tan?" she asks.
"Yeah, I guess that's why they kicked me out."
The both of them chuckle as we resume our games, per the coaches whistle. After we dress out to our normal clothes, they invite me to eat lunch with them. We grab our food, we walk to table where Max is already sitting, with a girl I haven't met yet. She has purple hair too, but hers is much more darker then Laki's.
"Oh, Jet, you met my home girl Lucy?" He says, a hint of snarkiness in his tone.
Jet scoffs. "Oh, you're home girl?" He started chuckling. And out of no where, some random guy comes to kiss me on the cheek.
"My girl!' He says, as he pulls Jet's chair from underneath him, Jet suddenly starts chasing after the man.
"Oh my god! It's like first grade all over again, you're the shiny new toy." Laki says.
"Smile!" The darker purple haired girl says. "Sorry. It's for the feature. I'm Kinana."
"Feature is dead, Kinana!" Max says. "God." he says as he walks away with the rest of his lunch.
"Guess we'll just run another editorial on teen drinking." she mumbles.
"You know, you could always go for eating disorders? Speedo padding on the swim team." I suggest as a joke.
"Actually thats a good one!" Kinana says. Laki agrees. They both start having a conversation of their own and I look outside. I see some couples starting to walk into the lunch room. Their looks are so mesmerizing, I.. I can't explain it.
"Who're they?" I ask Kinana and Laki, gestureing over to the pairs of people.
"The Dragneels. They're, uhm, Dr. And Mrs. Dragneels foster kids." Laki says. "They moved down here from north of Ishgar, like, a few years ago. "
"They kinda keep to themseves" Kinana says.
Laki scoffs, "Yeah, 'cause their like together. Like together together." she says disgusted. "The the blue haired girl, that's Levy, and the big dark haired guy, is Gajeel. They're, like, a thing. I'm not even sure that's legal."
"It's not like they're actualy related though." Kinana mentions.
"Yeah but they live together, it's weird."
I glance over at the mysterious couple. They look happy together, and they smile at each other like lovers would. Though it might not be illegal, it it kinda weird to think that they're legally brother and sister, but are stil dating.
"Okay, the busty red head girl, thats Erza, she's like, really weird." Laki points at them behind her with her fork. "And the guy next to her is Jellal, who always looks like he's in pain." she takes a bite out of her salad before she continues to talk. "Dr. Dragneel's like this foster dad/matchmaker."
"Maybe he'll adopt me!" Kinana says jokingly.
As I look at the door once more, I see a toned man with pink hair. He face is shaped like a diamond, and his features are chisled. He has a scar on the left side of his jawline, but it makes him look more attractive all the same.
"Who's that?" I ask breathlessly.
"Thats Natsu Dragneel." Laki says smugly. "Totally gorgeous, obviously. But apparently no one here is good enough for him." She sighs.
I look over at Natsu, he smugly grins like he heard us talking, though that seems impossible.
Laki and Kinana resume their convorsation, but I look over at the bunch. They all look extrordianrily beautiful, it should be illegal to look that good. I get caught staring at Natsu, and he grins to himself as he stares back at me.
I look away.
My fifth period is Biology, I walk into the class to notice the only seat available is next to Natsu.
I introduce my self to Mr. Wakaba, the bio teacher. I get distraceted though, as I walk over infront of the fan, the breeze casts its way over to Natsu. He covers his nose.
The fuck?
I walk over and take a seat next to him, he sounds like hes struggling to breath.
The teacher hands us these small glasses, telling us we will be observing the behaviors of planeria, or something, I did't pay much attention to what he was saying. I was so focused on trying to figure out why Natsu was struggling to breath. Was it 'cause of me?
Did i smell bad?
I looked him in the eyes, and they were this pale black color, I've never seen anything like it. He seem so disturbed by me..
Suddenly, the bell rings, and he's the first one to leave the class.
I start walking down the hall to ask the counslers office for directions to my sixth period, but as I walk in, Natsu is already talking to the counsler.
"There must be something open. Physics? Chemistry?" He says, his voice sounds gruff, and panicked. Almost full of anxiety.
"I'm sorry sweetheart, but everything is full." The counsler says. He sighs, and takes a look behind him to notice me.
"Guess I'll just have to endure it." he brushes past me as he angrily walks out of the counslers office.
When I got home from school, my dad asked me if I wanted to go to our favorite dinner, Fairy Tail Dinner. It was a good place, everyone hung out there as well as ate there. It was homey.
The waitress came up, gave my dad his steak and cobbler as I got my garden burger. As we were about to eat, a very familar man came up to me and my dad.
"Hey Lucy! You remember me?" He asks me, he's a very short man in stature, "I played santa, one year."
"Yeah, Makarov, she hasn't had a christmas here since she was four." Jude exasperates.
"I bet I made an impression though, didn't I?" Makarov says
"Yeah, you always do."
The waitress giggles. "Butt-Crack Santa?" I laugh at her as well. Now that was something I remember.
"Hey! Kids love those little bottles though." Makarov says.
The waitress pats his stomach, "Alright Gramps, let the girl eat her garden burger. As soon as you're done I'll bring you you're favorite. Berry Cobler remember? Your dad still has it... Every Thursday.."
"Thank you, That'd be great." I smile.
"So listen baby, if spring training goes well, we could be moving to florida!"
"Please insert a dollar twenty five for an additional three minutes."
"Mom, where's your cell." I giggle at her over the phone.
"Okay." she sighs, "I didn't lose my power cord, it ran away. I literally repel technology now." she laughs, and I laugh with her.
"I miss you mom."
"I miss you too, but tell me more about your school, what're the kids like?" she asks. "Are there any cutes guys? Are they being nice to you?"
"Well, they're all very welcoming." I say choking up, my mind drifts back to Natsu and his behavior towards me earlier today. I feel the tears stinging my eyes. "Listen mom, I have homework to do." I sigh. "I'll talk to you later.
"Okay.. I love you."
Talking with my mom gave me the courage to talk to Natsu, so I planned to confront him... and demand to know what his problem was. But as the days went by, he was a no show to shcool. Things were getting a little strange...
It was thursday today, and there was a thunder storm.
I was walking down the stairs and suddenly slipped on some ice. My dad came and ran up to me.
"You okay?"
"Yeah," I strained, "Ice doesn't really help the uncoordinated." I jokingly say.
"Yeah, got some new tires installed because of that reason, the old ones were looking pretty bald." my dad says. "Welp, probably be late for dinner, gotta head down to Oshibana county. Security gaurd got attack by some animal.." He says.
I cock my head in confusion. "Animal?"
He sighs, "This isn't Hargeon, Luce. Anyway, I figured I'd lend a hand."
"Be careful."
"Always am."
As I got back into my car, I pondered the idea of an animal attack on Oshibana county. Oshibana isn't really a foresty place like Magnolia, so it's awful strange to get any sort of animal attack there. Maybe some wild dog got loose.
I arrived at school and the first few periods felt like they went by really fast, and as soon as I knew it, we were heading into biology. My gut tells me Natsu wouldn't be there, but I'm not entirely sure.
I walked with Max to bio, he's talking to me about setting up prom, and deciding on music to play, apprently he has to cover it for the school news paper.
He stutters. "I was wondering, anyway, did you have like, a da-"
"Sup Hargeon! How you likin' the rain girl?" Jet says and he shakes his wet ballcap over my head. I cringe at the cold feeling.
I turn over to walk to my seat and notice, Natsu is at school today. I walk over, ready and confident to ask him, what was his problem, but as I sat down, all the words I was ready to say got stuck in my throat.
"Hi." He said, his voice was a gruff as I remember it when I heard him in the counslers, but this time it wasn't as strained or anxiety induced. "I'm sorry i didnt get a chance to introduce myself last week, I'm Natsu Dragneel.. You're Lucy?"
"Uhm, yes."
The teacher starts talking about the stages of an onion, and aparently the first pair of lab partners get to win a golden onion. That sounds less the fantastic...
The class groans at the idea of the 'Golden Onion.' Natsu and I start getting to work by putting the slides under the microscope and identifying the stages.
"Ladies first?" He said. I take a look, whilst trying to make conversation.
"You were gone.." I said, choking up on my words.
"Yeah.. I was out of town for a couple of days. Personal reason." He sighs.
"Prophase.." I say as I shove the mircoscope in his direction.
"You mind if I look?" He asks. I shrug. "Its prophase."
"Like I said."
He glances over at me. "You enjoying the rain?" I chuckle.
"Not really. I don't really like, cold, or wet things." I shrug, looking down at my paper. Natsu Laughs. He switches the slides and looks through the microscope.
"Its anaphase." he points out.
"Mind if I check?" I ask, he slides the microscope over to me. "Anaphase."
"Like I said." He said smugly. "If you hate the rain and the cold so much, why'd you move to the wettest place in Isgar?"
"Its complicated."
"Im sure I can keep up."
I shook my head, "Uh.. My mom remarried, and uhm.."
"So you dont like the guy.. or?"
"No, I mean, he's a great guy, it's just.." I get interrupted as I stare into his eyes. But for some reason, they aren't the noir color that they were a couple days ago, now they're a golden yellow hue, almost dragon like. Staring at him, I can't help but notice how serne his face looks. He has a calming expression, it sends my back shivers thinking about it. His pink hair looks more like a salmon color, and I want to ask if it's natural, but I'm too mesmerized by the way he looks. His lips a flush with color, but the rest of him seems to be a pale tan, which is a weird description, but I can't explain him in any other way except that he's beautiful.
He looks up from the microscope, "It's metaphase. You wanna check it?"
"No, Im good."
After class, we started walking to my locker, so I could put the 'Golden Onion' away, because Natsu didn't want it. "So why didn't you move with your mom and her husband?" he asks me.
"Well, he's a minor league baseball player, and he travels a lot. My mom would stay home with me but I knew it made her unhappy so i figured I stay with my dad for a while." I gush out.
"And now you're unhappy?"
"No, not at all." I shake my head.
"I'm sorry, I'm just trying to figure you out. You're very difficult for me to read." he admits to me. I glare at him slightly.
"Did you get contacts?" I blurt out, not being able to hold in my curiosity.
"No." He says sternly.
"Your eyes were black the last time i saw you.. Now they're like a golden brown." I admit to him. He frowns
"It's the.. the flourecents.." he shakes his head. "I.." he doesn't finish his sentence before he ups and leaves me at my locker. Watching him walk away like that made him more mysterious and intriguing then anyone I've ever met. How does he do that?
I started walking to my car after school, it was parked on the otherside of the lot, where my friends and Natsu usually are. I look over in that general area only to notice that he's staring directly at me. His stare sends direct shivers down my spine. I turn around, hoping he would stop staring at me.
Then I hear tires screeching, and a horn honking, I turn around to see a navy blue van heading my way, and its out of control.
I panicked and ducked down, not thinking clearly. I realize it was too late to move out of the way, and I just close my eyes, hoping the blow wont hurt me as much as I feared it would.
But as I felt the van hit the end of my truck, Natsu leaps infront of me and puts his palm against the van, pushing it back and leaving a dent.
What kinda of human has that much strength? How did he even get here than fast? He looks me directly in the eye, and his golden eyes carry and sort of 'Oh shit' kind of look, but before I can ask him what the fuck just happened, he hops up onto my truck and climb over it and walks away.
Suddenly, everyone is asking me if I'm alright, and that 911 is on the phone, but everything goes numb as I see him walk away, wondering what the fuck just happened.
So y'all gotta realize im terrible at spelling and grammar even though english is my first language
i type really fast
also I hope everyone is pleased by this
again, i dont own fairy tail, and all dialog lines belong to the movie "Twilight"
Thanks :)
