Thaliana watched as four men entered her village and headed for her father's tent. She knew why they were there; they were there to take her brother to Britain to serve the Roman Empire. She eyed the men as they rode past her. One of the men stopped and asked her, her name.

"My name is Thaliana. I am the daughter of Accolon and Erwyn." She said pointing to the tent they were heading towards, "You have come to take my brother, Tristan, have you not?"

"We are but now that I see you, I want you to come with us." He said, "Oh, well I have completely forgotten my manners, my name is Arelius."

"You look like your no older then eighteen. You're old enough to be my brother. Well I mean I would go to be with my brother. What would your captain say?" She asked.

"I would have to tell him that we were taking you to work in Britain too. Seeing as we are currently having a shortage of women and the men are lonely. But I hope that I will be able to take you as my own before we leave her." He told her.

"One Sir, this is the first time we have met so no I will not be yours. Secondly, you want to take a princess as some common wench. Thirdly, I will go get my things to go with you." She said jumping down from the tree she was sitting in.

Thaliana ran to her tent and her mother was waiting for her, "Thaliana, you are going with them? The Roman soldier said you were. He is the one I saw Thaliana. The one you are to marry. He will understand your gift. Thaliana bring all these boys back safely and be happy in your marriage."

"Mother, is he really the one?"

"Yes my dear he is. I have one warning for you though. Use your gift wisely and don't let them use you."
