My second story ... this time a few words longer and again the result of a one-sentence-challenge.

Chocolate or lemon?
" You know that I prefer chocolate cake! " Kara looked at the lemon cake in front of her on the table.
Lee was at the end of his nerves ... " she prefers chocolate cake ? " - Why the hell he had changed his CAP with Hot Dog and could not take part in the card game now expected for a long time? – To get this frakked two lemons, which Hot Dog had brought from an agrarian ship !
And why had he taken over two other CAP from Kat? Only to get that powdered sugar from her, he needed for the frakked cake? WHY?
It was not the first time during the last weeks that Lee was at the end with his nerves. This woman makes him grazy... yes yes yes yes yes ... he loves her really from the bottom of his heart ..., however, she was already so strenuous normally and a PREGNANT Kara simply was too much for him. He might not remember that he had even another 5 months to go till the baby would be born.
While Lee (once again) tried to cool down and not to lose his temper, Kara still wanted to know, why he had brought lemon cake instead of chocolate cake. Lee took a deep breath " Kara, darling, yesterday you told me, you would like to have lemon cake " - For that he got a very bad look - " I NEVER liked lemon cakes AND if you loved me, you would know this " - Lee threw her a look, which said much more than every word and Kara's reaction made clear to him that he probably had to spend another night on the sofa, if he wasn't able to found a chocolate cake.
He just wanted to leave the room, as Kara shouted to him: "and take that frakked cake with you , I do not want to have this thing here"
So Lee departed together with his lemon cake and makes his way to his fathers quarters. Maybe the Old Man could help him with his "cake-problem". He was on a Battlestar and there was no baker's around the next corner... The old Adama gave a compassionate look to his son, he still remembered too well the time when his own wife was pregnant. And than he set in motion some lever, it had, in the end, certain advantages to be the Commander. And also if Bill Adama uses this advantages very seldom ... in such a situation fathers or those who want to become one must stand together. And while Lee and his father made themselves a nice time with tea and that tasty lemon cake, they both waited for the board cook of the Galactica.
The cook had promised to bake a chocolate cake and to bring it immediately to the private quarters of the Commander. And he held his word. As a wage he took the rest of the lemon cake. Lee was in a good mood, when he made his way back to his and Kara's quarter. Kara sat at the desk and when he entered, she looked at him longingly. With a wide grin Lee set down the chocolate cake before her. But, instead of the expected joy outbreak he saw only one questioning look in Karas eyes and "where is my lemon cake?"
