For Hannah

Nezumi sighed as he collected today's homework. Of course, why would everyone actually bring their work in today? That's way too much to ask, isn't it? As much as he loved his job, he hated the fact that no one would put in the effort to actually do their homework every once and a while. This is why he loathed teaching the stupid English class. God, they were so stupid, he doubted they even knew what the word loathed meant. He wanted to teach honors this year. Every year he applied to do that, but someone else got the job. He wanted his students to have an IQ that was higher than their age! Was that too much to ask?

This year, Nezumi had started working at a new school. They promised him he wouldn't have to teach normal English and he got excited, but when they told him his job was for "Communications" his heart sank.

The only person in this class that actually did his work on a day to day basis was an albino boy named Shion. Shion was actually really smart, he always did his work, always got one hundred on the tests, Shion was great. Maybe a little too great. Nezumi may have found his student a bit too perfect. He had actually started to get a crush on Shion, great, he was going to be one of those teachers you got a huge ass crush on one of their students and ended up going to jail for sexual harassment. Perfect, why wouldn't he want that?

"I want to speak to you after class." Nezumi told Shion as he grabbed the boy's homework off his desk. Shion nodded and blushed a bit. He was pretty cute when he did that, actually, Shion was always adorable, in Nezumi's eyes.

Nezumi went on for the rest of the class, explaining the difference between "then" and "than" he was in complete shock that ninety percent of the class didn't understand there was a difference! Actually, only one person understood, of course, that was Shion.

"What's up, Mr. N?" Shion asked after class.

Nezumi waited until the rest of the students had left the room before he said anything. "Why are you in this class, Shion, you're obviously smart enough to get into the normal English class, you're the only one who's ever passed this class with one hundred percent for the first term."

Shion sighed. "I'd fail the normal English if I was in it…and….I kind of…" he blushed and looked away.

"Continue, I won't care about what you tell me." Nezumi promised.

"I have a crush on someone in class" he whispered, still blushing.

Nezumi was a little bit hurt that Shion had a crush on someone else, but he was a teacher, students don't usually fall for their teachers, they just think they're hot. He cleared his throat before speaking again. "Well then, you're dismissed, have a good weekend." Nezumi smiled

"To his surprise, before leaving, Shion pressed his lips against his teachers.

"Have a good weekend." He smiled when he pulled away.

When Shion left the room, he couldn't help smile to himself. Shion had kissed him; he had been kissed by the student that he had a crush on.

He didn't know what they were anymore, they were teacher and student, that was for sure, but maybe they were more. Nezumi decided he'd have to discuss it with Shion on Monday.
