Whee! More poems about death! I'm really starting to scare myself with this stuff. Anyways, this is about someone dying and someone watching them die. Erm... yeah. I dunno if it's Genkai and Yusuke, Kurama and Hiei, or somethin' else entirely. You decide. If you want to know what I thought, I was actually thinking about lunch. Lastly, I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho. Not fair! Mommy, will you buy it for me? Please?

Why?
Rain pounds down, pounds on your still form.
Why?
The water washes away the blood, but you do not wake.
Why?
My hand shakes, reaches out to find your heartbeat,
But you are cold in my arms; cold as my icy fear that you are gone.

Why?
Searching desperately for you spirit energy.
Why?
Every trace of you has now disappeared.
Why?
I give in to the fear, surrendering for the first time,
And one question echoes in my mind... Why? Why?

Why?
Sitting in the silence, remembering you.
Why?
Every detail of you clear in my memory.
Why?
I smile at you, and the rain hides my secret,
That the truth is, I am crying for you...

Hey, I avoided the weird 3rd to 1st person switch! Cool! Well, that's it! Once again, review! Please! And read my other poems, especially "Escaping Death"! Yay!
