Hello everyone! This is my first completed Avengers fanfiction... ^^' Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Tony sat in the darkness of his basement-workshop. The only thing illuminating the room was the faint, blue aura that was constantly emitted by his arc reactor. He focused on nothing. He didn't even notice the workshop door being opened, or the man as perfect as his father's promise's presence. At least, that was the case until the billionaire felt a warm hand on his warm shoulder. He jumped, almost scared.

"Stark...we need you."

"For what?" Tony replied, as much as he wanted to tell the Captain that he wasn't really needed.

Steve rolled his eyes. It was obvious! Especially to someone has smart as Tony, who figured it out but shook his head. The gesture sent worry and confusion around Steve's body.

"There's no point in me going." Tony told the blonde, as confidently as he could muster. That's when Steve knew something was truly wrong. Going to see the mayor of New York City was nothing new to Tony, and all the mayor was going to do was congratulate them for saving New York!

"Why? We are being thanked for..."

"Because. I'm not a hero."

Steve's eyes widened.

Steve was confused, and that showed in his voice. "But you helped... You singlehandedly got rid of the missile! That makes you are hero!"

Tony chuckled and shook his head again. He was accidentally enraging Steve who couldn't believe his ears. What made it worse was the simple fact that the Stark changed anything Steve said. Steve couldn't see how Tony wasn't a hero, and was prepared to argue for hours on end. The blonde's patience soon wore thin and he snapped. Tony's reaction was to simply bolt to the other side of the room. Steve made his way towards him. Tony sat down, curled up, and Rogers soon found himself sat next to him, arms around him in a protective manner, as he tried to convince Iron Man of how heroic he truly was.

"I don't get it. That doesn't make me a hero."

"You've saved people's lives, Stark. And aside from that...you're the hero-type."

Tony smiled softly. Maybe Captain America would know who was a hero and who wasn't, right?

"You're a hero to me, Tony. A hero like no other." Steve pulled Tony closer, and planted a small kiss on his lips. Tony blushed, redder than a ripe tomato, and preceded to attempt to stutter a simple 'I love you'. It took him a small while, but he eventually managed it, receiving an acclamation of love back. The genius smiled as sleep over-took him.

From outside of the glass door, Pepper smiled. Her boss was happy, in a relationship (she guessed) and sleeping for once.

Tony Stark is Steve Rogers' hero. A hero like no other.

I hope you guys liked it! If you did, please review/favourite/you know what I mean. XD Yeah, I guess this is a sorta feelsy fanfic...but I was in the mood for feels.
