DarkenedRoseThorn: This here fanfiction is just a short story featuring the lovely Luna and the Handsome Harry. The characters may seem ooc but I think there is more to them then others get to see. If you don't like how I write then don't read my stuff, its as simple as that. No one is forcing you to read it.
Read and review.
The castle was cool dark and silent. He moved around with no destination in mind. The light of the full moon shone through the windows. A werewolf howls in the distance followed by a dog. He pauses and smiles fondly. He continues his walk through the hallowed halls. A faint sound reaches his ears and he stops. He stays still for a moment then tries to locate the source. As he gets closer to a room he uses often the sound gets louder. He quietly opens the door and looks in.
The light entering through the window illuminates a figure curled on the floor. The figure is female and the moon makes her hair look almost translucent. Tears fall fast down her pale face and sobs cause her body to shake roughly. The boy watches for a moment longer then moves closer to the girl. She freezes when she realizes someone else is in the room. She looks up fearfully then stares in shock at her companion. Of all the people who could have found her, she never expected it to be him. Light blue eyes met emerald ones.
"Luna, what is wrong?" asked Harry. "Nothing" she replied while not looking him directly in the face. "You wouldn't be in here crying your eyes out if it were nothing" he said. "Why do you care? I am just Loony Lovegood and that is all I ever will be" she said bitterly. Harry realized what had happened to the blond Ravenclaw in front of him. Everything people have said about and called her finally took its toll on her. "Because we are very much alike" he replied. "What?" she asked looking at him confused. Harry paused for a moment to gather his thoughts. "We both say the truth, truth most people can't handle hearing. So they say cruel things to make themselves feel better" he answered. Luna thought for a moment and realized that he was right. Memories of what Harry had gone through saying that Voldemort was back and how people treated him because of the truth assaulted her. "Just because we are different than most, doesn't mean that we are worth less than they are" Harry commented. A smile worked its way onto her face. "You're right Harry. It just hurts so much but I can't let them see" Luna said. "I know what you mean. When I was growing up at the Dursleys' before I came to Hogwarts, they called me the most hurtful names and things. I know how you feel, the pain being too much" stated Harry.
The pair sat in silence with Harry looking off in the distance. The silence wasn't awkward but was rather nice. Luna stood up, moved over to where Harry was and hugged him. He gasped in surprise but returned the hug. Luna looked up at him and said "Thanks, Harry, for everything. It's nice to know that someone cares." He smiled at the blond he was holding. "You are very welcome, Luna. Know that you can always come to me." The pair turned their attention back to the window and watched as a werewolf and a black dog ran towards the Whomping Willow.
DRT: Well there you have it. My latesst piece after a long hiatus. I'm currently working on a Tonks/Charlie piece but whether if it will only be friendship or if there will be romance is yet to be determined. So look out for that and anything else I throw out there into the realm of Harry Potter Fanfiction. One more thing, don't forget to review!!!
