Her skin was lightly bronzed from the sun. The reflection of the rays off of the water had intensified the effects on her skin, leaving her with a healthy tan. A lifetime of sailing and knowing the sea had sharpened her reflexes. The salty water had made her unkempt strawberry blonde hair stringy and damaged. She did not care what people thought about her. She didn't care about the state of her nails or clothes. She knew how to 'look pretty', but she had a reputation as being a 'nerd' or a 'dork'. She felt she could never be a pretty girl. Standing at her dresser, her mirror reflects a flawless complexion, perfect almond shaped eyes. Her eyebrows would look simply stunning if she plucked a few stray hairs. She had the capability to be gorgeous. She chose not to be.
