She'd never admit it, but maybe Finn wasn't the best male singer in glee club.
What Puck did—singing "Sweet Caroline", her all-time favorite Neil Diamond song—was more than great. It was amazing. Rachel didn't think that Noah Puckerman, self-proclaimed cougar man and all-around badass, would hop up on a stool and sing a mushy love song in front of the entire glee club. Talk about romantic, Rachel thought.
He 'accidentally' brushed up against Rachel after practice and she flushed with pleasure, squeaking out a "You were amazing, Noah" as they both headed to the parking lot.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" Puck replied, cocky as always. But unlike the other times, Rachel didn't mind.
Because she knew there was an unexpected sweet side underneath.
Hope you all liked the first one, because I liked writing it. Totally worth it to revisit my favorite scene from Mash-Up. But just a warning, not all of the fics will be sweet and fluffy like this. Be prepared for angst in the next update.
