Captured Wind
The moon shines through the dark recesses of the cave.
Water droplets fall to the ground,
Joining with the others.
A lonely youkai wanders through,
Aimlessly searching for freedom.
Tears escape her eyes,
With her heart sinking to the depths of her so-called dark and pitch-black soul.
She was made for destruction and death.
Her heart escaped the commands of her creator.
Torture brought her back,
But it was still not enough.
She was not just a wind sorceress,
But in fact the wind itself.
Instead of flowing freely,
She is kept in a vessel that knows only pain.
Falling to the ground,
The cold night air embraces her.
She lays there,
Crying for the freedom she seeks.
Deeds done cannot be forgotten.
Her wishes may never be granted.
She may never become free as the wind she creates,
But for now, she can only follow and dream on.
