This is a mix of the movies and the comics since I like certain things about both, so yeah... The title is really crappy but that's only because I didn't feel like posting this when I thought of a better one :) Anyway, please read and review and I will give you a dang cookie.

I took a second to gaze at the mayhem that surrounded me. Mutants were flying and crawling everywhere. Destruction was obviously their only option.
"You know," a familiar voice said from behind me, "You should've joined the Brotherhood."
I spun around to see it was Pyro. My best friend since I was eleven... since I arrived at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. "And what makes you think I would've done that?" I asked sarcastically.
He smirked, taking a few steps back. My eyes widened, realizing he was about to-
I jerked my arms up, forcing water from the air to shield me from the fire raging out of Pyro's hands. "What are you doing!" I screamed at him as needles filled with the Cure flew over our heads.
All he did to reply was smile evilly.
"This isn't you!" I yelled.
"This is me," he replied moving closer, making it harder to hold the water out in front of me.
"Don't, John!" Calling out his actual name made him grit his teeth. He ran towards me, breaking my shield and forcing me to the ground. He slowed down to a stop as he reached my right side.
"My name is Pyro. You of all people should know that." After those words, he did something unspeakable. I screamed in agony as he set flames to my right side. The pain leaked down from my shoulder blade to my hip and kept going. Any movement I'd dare to make, he would burn me farther. I looked up just in time to see Iceman head butt Pyro, pinning his unconscious body to the ground. Iceman took two fingers and put them to Pyro's forehead, giving him a literal brain freeze just incase the head butt didn't keep him down for awhile.
My side ached like hell. Tears leaked down my pale face like the pain down my side. Iceman went to the dying flames on my flesh, froze his own hand and touched my rights side. The fire was gone but not so much the pain. Iceman reached out a hand to help me up. I took it. "Thanks, Bobby." I said.
Both of our set of eyes shifted to Jean, or now the Phoenix. Then I glanced at Magneto who was thrusting metal at the guards with their plastic guns. Hank came up behind him, injecting him with the Cure with four different needles. He fell to the ground slowly, looking at his hands as if watching his power fade away. "No," he said, "I'm just like...them." Hank laughed and started walking back to the jet.
Mutants of the Brotherhood retreated.
"Alright! Everyone back to the jet!" Wolverine yelled carrying Jean's dead body. Tear stains were blotched on his cheek. He had to do it. If he didn't pierce her with his claws, who knows what the world would have turned to. "Wait!" I yelled, kneeling over Pyro's body, "I won't leave without him."
"He betrayed us, Aquassin, he's no good." Iceman stated.
"That doesn't matter. He's my best friend." The pain in my side suddenly increased, making me flinch.
"Okay, kid. If you say so." Colossus said, picking Pyro up to carry him in his arms.
