Shauna Vayne was the only child to a wealthy family. Vayne's parents had traveled all over the word. But when Vayne was born, her parents were decided to settle in Demacia where is a full of love and peace. She was born to be pampered. For her childhood, she learned as much as she could in her own world. The most she liked was collecting the various insects in her ground. After her 16th birthday, everything was changed. A woman who was a dark mage killed her parents.
Vayne had heart full of hatred and enough coin to recruit a team, but no one followed her anywhere. Therefore, she need a teacher to teach her everything about dark magic. Her parents had told her about the people's rebellion against the dark magicians in the north, so she began her journey to study in the north.
Soon after arriving, Vayne began looking for her teacher. She did find one, but their first meeting was a little different than she expected. Vayne fell into a jagged trap while crossing an icy canyon. And a wild animal was watching her greedily.
A woman with grey hair saved her, she is called Frey. Frey told her that she had spent her life fighting the dark magicians because they had killed her children. Vayne begged Frey to accept her as a disciple and teach her how to hunt the dark creatures. Frey accepted her request after a test and agreed to return to Demacia with Vayne.
