Narrator

A young girl sits, alone, in a glass room, watching a projection on a wall showing the lives of many different people-their happiest and saddest moments included. On her right is an easel with canvas perched on it. To her left is a palette filled with paint: primary's and neutrals that have been mixed to show a rainbow of secondary and tertiaries. Her gaze of concentration goes from the projection, now frozen on one picture of a man smiling down at his new son to the canvas as she ponders how to paint this picture. This girl has grown up almost her whole life in this glass room, separated from society yet so deeply intertwined with it. She knew about war and famine from an early age, seeing pictures of the great World Wars, very curious but not understanding until the people who cared for her would tell her when she asked. She's allowed access to almost anything, from priceless artifacts to a library of books and many more. In short she's spoiled, but not haughty and ungrateful. She always expressed her gratitude to the people who helped her and made sure that the artifacts she borrowed were given back in perfect shape. She understands everything that went on on Earth, but express' no feelings for them.

The year is 100 years after the destruction of Earth.
