"Are you scared Hannah?" Susan asked as the two of them readied themselves for the battle that was about to unfold. The two girls were looking out to the Hogwarts Grounds from the Astronomy Tower and Hannah swallowed.

"I'm not scared," she said with a slight tremour in her voice. Susan raised an eyebrow. "I'm not scared," Hannah reiterated, before licking her lips nervously. "I'm not scared at all."

"You're not?" Susan asked and Hannah shook her head.

"I'm not scared. I'm terrified, frozed to the spot, about to shit myself terrified. But I'm not scared," she said and Susan grabbed her friend's hand in a reassuring manner.

"Just remember, you're not alone," she said, looking at her friend gently. "I think we're all scared really. Even Harry."

Hannah chuckled with amusement. For some reason, the idea of Harry being scared was funny. He always seemed to be invincible, always there to save the day. She gave Susan's hand a gentle squeeze.

"As long as we fight together, we'll win," she said as a small smile crossed her face. "Just like what the Hufflepuff prefects told us on our first night here."

"Together we are stronger than any magic and any foe," Susan said with a smile. She grasped her friend's arm. "Together. Till the end."

"To the end," Hannah replied and suddenly the sky lit up as the battle began.
