The prettiest eyes have cried the most tears and the kindest hearts have felt the most pain. - Unknown.

Cameron Ann Morgan have pretty eyes, pretty brown eyes. She's also beautiful, intelligent and very kind. That's how most of us will probably describe her, and then, just like that, we won't bother looking back at her twice.

But if you do. If you take that one more moment to look at her twice, then you will be rewarded, you will see something deeper.

How do I know this? Because I'm one of those people that bothered to look at her more than once.

You see, those pretty, innocent-looking brown eyes of hers hold something more. Something heartbreaking; they are full of sadness. But you won't see it, unless you take a good look at her, and even then it could be hard because Cammie has always been happy, or she always have pretended to be happy.

Even now, as she seats from across me at the school's cafeteria, she's laughing at some joke Grant made a few seconds ago about an some men and a duck.

It was a laugh that didn't quite reach her eyes.

I am Zachary Goode, and I know Cameron Goode's pain.

Let our story begin.
