Another Tumblr drabble request. I thought you all might enjoy it~

The summer air is hot and heavy in Devonshire when Remus goes to visit, clouds rolling over the blue sky and making it a dark grey. The grass is very green, and large bushes that had held flowers the past spring border the rod-iron fence. The sweet smell laces his nose and makes him heady. Days like these were impossible. You couldn't read without falling asleep and the humidity promised some sort of rain. With the birds chirruping sleepily from thick branched oak trees Remus can't help but wonder where Sirius and James had slipped off too, or how they found the energy to do any slipping. It is so hot, and Remus feels heavy.
He walks barefoot through the yard, thinking absently about many various things, enjoying the springy feeling of the blades between his toes. He is so caught up in little inklings of the next school year and what he would like to read next, that he doesn't notice the ever growing shadow creeping up on him.
Nor does he realize it is there when it springs on him.
"EEEEAAAAG!" Cries Remus.
"GOT YOU!" Yells the assailant.
Remus is knocked to the ground, sprawled under Sirius Black, who is sporting one of the biggest grins of the century. There is something small and hard jabbing Remus in the small of his back, and he is fairly sure that he is going to have a bruise in more than one place.
"Bleeding hell-Sirius! Are you mad?" Remus fixes his angry, gold eyes on Sirius' doggy face.
"You were so busy off in Moony town I had to. It's so easy when your eyes glaze over like that!" Sirius protests, still smiling fit to crack his face.
Remus stares at him, then does what any logical seventeen year old would do. He smooshes his hand angst the other boy's face and starts wiggling to get free. Sirius make a noise through Remus fingers, which have found their way into his mouth, and goes completely dead weight on Remus.
"Get-Off-Me!" Remus groans, spitting out black strands of hair and smacking Sirius' shoulder.
"No." Sirius says. "It's hot."
"I know! Do you think this helps?" Remus snaps and with strength that never stops amazing Sirius, he rolls them over so he is on top and rubs his back, pulling a face. "You Ponce, you tackled me under a bleeding apple tree. I've been bitten by its angry offspring!"
Sirius blows hair out of his face and grins. "How do you always end up on top?" There is something in the way he says this that makes Remus roll his eyes and go a little pink.
"Because you didn't have an apple in your arse." Remus dead-pans, not taking the bait at Sirius comment.
"Oh c'mon Moony, I was only playing-" Sirius stops as a huge raindrop splatters on his nose. He goes cross-eyed. "-The sky…just spat on me."
"You deserve it!" Remus snorts, still sitting on Sirius. Another raindrop falls and hit Remus in the forehead and he sighs. "I can't even have a nice walk without the world coming unhinged."
As he says this the sky cracks open and starts dumping.
Remus looks through his dripping hair at Sirius.
"I blame you."
Sirius makes an innocent, albeit a tad wet, face and pulls Remus forward by his soggy shirt collar.
"You can't blame me." He says very close to Remus' face. "I didn't make it rain."
"You tackled me-!" Remus stammers, trying to stay angry, and finding it very hard to do with Sirius so close to his face. Damn him for always knowing how to wiggle his way out of trouble.
"-Oh shut up Lupin." Sirius chuckles and pulls Remus into a very wet kiss.
Remus decides he will forgive Sirius for attacking him. Mostly because it is really very difficult to stay mad at someone who is kissing you and smells like grass, something spicy and doggish, and suspiciously of rain and apples.
