I do not own Fangirl or the characters. I only own the plot of this story.

She was doing it again. Staring. But not just anything or at anyone. She was staring at Levi. God, that boy was handsome. But not the typical "Oh he's so cute I want him to be my boyfriend" school-girl way of describing someone as handsome. No, Levi was ruggedly handsome. Sometimes Cath would stare at him for hours on end while he listened to lectures on his phone. She pretended that she was busy thinking of ideas for Carry On, Simon but really she was just staring at Levi. Reagan might say that it's dumb and a girlish thing to do, and so would have Cath a few months ago, but now, now Cath understood.

She now understood why the girls in novels were always staring at their boyfriend/crush, taking up at least an entire chapter just describing, describing another human, another person. Whenever Cath read parts like those in novels, especially in Simon's novels, she felt like jabbing her eyes out so that she couldn't read anymore of them. But now she understood, she understood those girls. She related to them. She was one of them. She was totally, madly in love with Levi. God, the thought of ever loving someone, really loving them; not that thing where you stalk them and are obsessed with them, truly loving somebody with all of your heart it made her want to gag. Yes, she loved Levi, she did love him.

She just never thought that she could love a person. It had always just been her, Wren, Simon, and Baz. Sure she loved Wren, but that was different, Wren was her sister. And Simon, Simon was her 2nd favorite character. (Baz being her favorite) But she and Baz had a bond. They had always been together, since the beginning. She had spent most of her life daydreaming about him and Baz, writing scenes where he confessed things, where he was embarrassed, she had spent her life with him. But he wasn't real. She loved Simon and she loved Baz, she loved them more than just characters, but that is just what they were. They were just characters. Levi was a real person. He was her boyfriend.

She never thought that she could have a boyfriend, besides Abel. But let's face it, he was never her boyfriend. All of their "dates" had always included other people. But Levi was her real boyfriend. They had gone on dates, real ones, with just the two of them. No sisters, no parents, just them. She loved Levi.

Just then she looked down. Cath had been typing a paragraph while she was thinking about Levi. She looked down to read what she had written.

Simon found himself staring at Baz. "Oh no" Cath thought as she read the first sentence, "this won't end well."

"Cather?" she heard Levi say from beside her.

"Yes?" she asked.

"What are you writing?"

"Nothing" she replied with a sigh.
