A Wilting Flower

It's getting late. My eyelids grow heavy. My head begins to nod. The wind has a chill as it ruffles my feathers slightly. The sky a very deep, dark blue, with little lights and the big, round moon. The waters churn as the waves lap the shore. Fellow Rito fly through the night, delivering letters as it is the postman's duty. A fleeting shadow flies across the moon. My head picks up and my eagle eyes squint through the moonlight. My head droops and my shoulders sag. My chest heaves a sigh. Only a seagull, nothing more. I hold the flower to my face. I picked this flower far south of here, from a lush forest area. It was the most beautiful flower I had ever seen, and I knew it would be perfect for her. Now, the leaves have curled. The stem bends over, as the blossam droops. The petals have faded. I just wanted to see her smile when she saw this flower, but now... Suddenly the wind changes and blows at my face. A petal flies off, being carried away by the wind. The wind's soft howl forms words in my head, as if it were singing to me...

Seed to sprout,
Sprout to bud,
Bud to flower,
Flower wilts away.

Flowers grow in stages,
Unless ripped from the ages,
Crushed by a heavy weight,
Or being snipped away.

Seed to sprout,
Sprout to bud,
Bud to flower,
Flower wilts away.

But the will of a flower,
Can not be destroyed.
Seeds are sown.
Flowers regrow.

Seed to sprout,
Sprout to bud,
Bud to flower,
Flower wilts away.

A soft rain,
A warm sun ray,
The flower will see
Another day.

With soft rain...
And a warm sun ray...

"I will see another day..." I whisper outloud. A calm feeling rises in me. The flower no longer looks ugly to me. It had never lost it's beauty. "Come back soon, sun and rain. I'm waiting for you."

Authoress Notes: My poetry's crap ain't it? It's shorter than I expected, too. Can you guess which character it is? Who the girl is? If you know squat about Wind Waker, you probably won't be able to figure it out. Will I continue this? Maybe... If I'm in the mood, and if I get enough reviews. So, review please!
