There's a light prick, then the world blurs.
It's dark, then,

I see my old friends, the ones that left before me, and the everlasting cat.
Up, up, up, past the Jellicle moon
Up, up, up, up, to the HeavySide Layer.

Last week, the oldest cat in our house, Cali, was put down. She lived a long life of 13 years, and all in all, I know it was the best for her. She's been in my mother's and my house since I was three.
I hope she enjoys Heavyside Layer.
