And whiskers etched in skin
The way your blue eyes twinkle
With your brightness from within
The sorry way that you look down
In defeat when they all cry
There goes the evil monster
They are but a few of the reasons why
The way you reach up high for dreams
Where others dare not fly
The way they all berate you
And how you hold your head up high
In the summer heat
And all the winters that you warm
The loud and carefree cheering
The tears before the storm
The way you come to look for me
When I am not so free
Through all my walls and barriers
The way you always see
The ways in which you you strive for more
How you never wait in line
What makes you better than the rest
The ways that make you mine
