The girl who owns a planet
Chapter 1
The Doctor steps out of the TARDIS and into the fresh sunshine of the unknown world, It is a barren desert, with a red sky and two moons overhead. He still grieved with the loss of Amy and Rory he begins to wander, he starts talking to himself
"How could I have lost them…"
"I made a promise to Rory's dad that this wouldn't happen…"
In pure rage he kicks a nearby rock
"This cannot be happening!"
He continues to wander, over the sand dunes, down into the valley.
"My dear Amelia Pond…" he whispers to himself "I have failed you"
He lies down on the soft sand, the thought of what happened in New York plays over and over again in his mind. He tries to think of a way to rescue them, but there is none. He knows he can never go back. And for once the Doctor cries. He cries for hours and hours, thinking of all the adventures he had with Amy, Rory and River. Then right before sunset, on the barren wasteland of a world he hears a voice.
"Sir, why are you crying?"
The Doctor looks up "Who's there?"
Out from behind a tall rock comes a little girl, She can be no older than 8 years old. She is dressed in a purple dress with black dots on it, she has a pink head band and in her hand she holds a brown teddy bear.
She asks again, "Mister why are you crying?"
The Doctor swallows his pride, walks up to the little girl and whispers
"I've lost my friends" "and now I'm all alone"
"Oh I'm sorry" says the girl "were you close with them?"
"Yes I was, very close…" the Doctor is now struggling to speak
"I lost a friend once, she was my best friend" she girl says sadly
The Doctor puts his hands on her shoulders, looks her dead in the eyes and says.
"Losing friends is tough, but I made a promise that no harm would come to my friend, and I broke that promise" He says with tears rolling down his face
"Oh, sorry" the girl says bluntly
He wipes the tears from his face.
"No its ok" says the Doctor "I shouldn't have told you"
"What's your name?" The Doctor asks
"My name is Katie" the girl says shyly
"I'm the Doctor" The Doctor says
"Doctor who?" She asks
Like he hasn't heard that one before.
"Yes, just the Doctor…" He says
Like he has said a million times before, and like will say a million times more.
"Oh, can I ask one more things" says the girl
"Sure" he says "Ask away"
He expects one of the normal questions like, are you an alien?, Why just the Doctor?, and where are you from?
But no the girl asks the Doctor on question he never saw coming
"What are you doing on my planet?"
The Doctor is dumbfounded.
"What do you mean your planet?" the Doctor asks curiously
"They gave it to me." The little girls say with a smile on her face.
"Who gave it to you?" he asks curiously
"The metal men" she says with a smile
"No" the Doctor says with pure fear on his face "Do you know who they are"
"Yes, I know them very well" she says "They are my friends" "They call themselves the Cybermen"
The Doctor looks at the girl with a serious look knowing that the Cybermen have returned and want to destroy him.
