Daniel walks into the control room and puts his coffee cup aside. "Jack! There you are. I went on the internet to do a little research on Australopithecus and-" He takes in the Colonels battered appearance. "What happened to you?"
"Oh, I got in a little wrestling match with Carter" he answered nonchalantly. 'That woman is such a bitch sometimes..talk about mood swings!'
"Why?"
Jack shrugged and resisted he urge to cringe as pain shot through his shoulder. "I guess she's got whatever Johnson's got. Had to drag her ass off to the infirmary."
"What did she start a fight with you, like Johnson did with Teal'c?" Daniel asked, worry evident in his voice.
"No she..tried to seduce me" he answered awkwardly.
"Oh!...You poor man."
Jack struggled to explain. "No, it wasn't like that. She was like a wild animal..she was nuts!" 'She was really aggressive, I mean I like um feisty, but not like that."
"Well is she all right? I should go see her" he turned and intended to head to the infirmary. "Why?" Jacks asked, his voice bordering on a full-on growl.
"What do you mean 'why?' because I care about her" he answered, firmly.
Jack reaches out and grabs him by the shirt. "You care about her? What's that mean?" he demanded. 'What the HELL do you mean you 'care' for her. You better not...'
"It means I care about her, she's my friend" Daniel countered and tried to pull away from his friends stronger body. "Now let... go!"
"She's not yours to care about!" Jack challenged. 'I can live with you still loving Sha're..but that's it. Sam better keep her hands off you!'
"What the hell are you talking about?" Daniel asked, his tone hard.
Jack tightened his grip and Daniels struggled even more desperately to pull away. "I'm talking about Samantha. You just stay away from her, okay?" 'Why cant you see i'm the one who wants you..not her!'
"Okay Jack" Daniel murmured soothingly. "I think you should come with me to the infirmary, okay? Just let go of me and let go of my-"
Daniel sentence is cut off when the Colonel punched him, with enough force to send him flying backwards. Jack ignored the airman's screams for security and advanced on the hapless archaeologist.
Jack then proceeds to punch him in the stomach over and over again. That is until two airmen managed to overpower the older man. Daniel and the rest of the occupants of the room, watch the airmen forcefully remove the Colonel from the room.
A tech woman hands him his glasses and gazes at him concerned. "Are you okay?"
Daniel breathes heavily. 'What the hell was that!'
