«Paolo!» Annie said and went as fast as she could to the next boat to sit by him. «Paolo?» She said, but he didn't anwer, didn't even move. He couldn't be dead. He just couldn't. Not Paolo.
«He's gone», the man said. She didn't know his name and right now, she didn't want to know. The only thing she wanted to know anything about, was Paolo. And she wanted him to live. «There was just a tiny spark left when we found him», he finished. Her eyes started to get teary, she couldn't swallow.
«Did you know him well?» The man asked, but just then, Paolo coughed up some water. «Yes», Annie then answered «I'm going to marry him.» «What?» Paolo said in a weak, barely hearable voice. «I sait that I'm going to marry you. Of course I'll marry you.» She told him and brushed his dark curly hair away from his face.
«I can't wait til New York», he said and though he was so weak and could barely move, he dragged her into a passionate kiss because he knew that she couldn't wait til New York either.
