Author's Note: Peace for Karou and Akiva...
Peace
Breathing out a calm and beatific sigh, Karou allowed her eyes to slide open, gazing at the most wonderful face of all existence. In front of her was the sleeping face of Akiva. His facial features were all relaxed and wonderful, his breathing even and soft. The blue haired girl lifted a hand and allowed her fingers to brush against the angel's cheek. Seeing him all peaceful and sleeping caused her heart to flutter. Butterflies attacked her belly seconds later when the male's arms wrapped around her body and pulled her close.
Leaning forward, Karou pressed a kiss to the male's cheek and then kissed his nose, bringing her lips down to his own lips. She pecked them before smiling fondly at her partner in front of her. Her kisses woke the angel up and his beautiful eyes pierced her own. Karou gave him a massive smile, feeling giddy that he was awake now.
"Good morning, Akiva," she greeted him, unable to contain her jolliness.
"Good morning, Karou," said the angel, pulling her even tighter against his own body. He enjoyed the way she felt against him. It brought him pure merriment and it made him feel at peace. "How are you feeling today?"
Karou thought about it for a moment before opening her mouth and letting the words flow, "I'm well. I wouldn't be if you weren't here, though."
"Good."
Karou felt Akiva plant a kiss to her cheek and her heart fluttered once more. "What about you? How are you feeling?" she questioned.
"Well," responded Akiva as he snuggled closer to her, nuzzling her cheek with his nose. He was so happy at the moment, so glad that he and Karou were together in perfect peace. It made his heart swell with pure vivaciousness. "Perfectly well."
Karou nodded, pleased with his answer. After a long moment of resting in Akiva's arms, Karou reluctantly pulled herself away from him and sat up in the bed. She let her eyes roam the room that they were occupying before placing them on the window that portrayed the outside world.
The outside world showed a vast valley of green and the various colors of several flowers. It was like a sea of rainbow and delightfulness. It was pure and asymmetric. It was beautiful. They were surrounded by wonderful nature and it made a smile touch her lips.
"This is wonderful…" trailed Karou in a quiet voice, feeling sleepy again even though she had woken up a few minutes ago. The calm and serene atmosphere was making her drowsy. "This is perfect."
Akiva was next to her in a flash, the seraph putting an arm around her shoulders. He let his eyes gaze out the window too, at the tranquil scenery. "It is. You like it here, right?" he asked her, putting his attention on her now.
"Yes, of course I do," was Karou's immediate response. "Especially with you here."
Akiva smiled lovingly at the girl beside him and wrapped his other arm around her, hugging her tight. He never wanted to let her go and he never would. Feeling Karou return his embrace, the angel shut his eyes and breathed through his nose, happy.
All was well. All was at peace.
