"If you wish to run with your tail between your legs, then get lost. Such weaklings aren't needed in my Fairy Tail."
"I'm going to change the guild! And for that sake, I will be the Master!"
His words echoed in his head. He was just trying to make Fairy Tail stronger, to make it the best guild there was! And here they were, those weaklings, telling him to stop it! Did they want the guild to be ridiculed? Did they not understand his reasoning? By getting rid of the weak, he could have a guild full of the best mages! No-one would EVER dare ridicule Fairy Tail again! He was doing this for them. For the guild! Why couldn't they see it? All the rude comments, the frustration of having no-one understand him, and the humiliation he felt whenever anyone picked a fight with his guild, he had bottled it all up. And now, he was letting them go. All in those few, rage filled moments, he had gone almost insane. But he didn't care. His fellow guild mates were hurt, and he didn't care. They were weak. His grandfather was dying, but he didn't care. Gramps was weak. The people of Magnolia would soon all perish. But he didn't care. Everyone was weak! By throwing away the people he believed to be weak, he was creating the ideal life for himself. And in that moment, he had realised something, his mind flashing back to the past.
"When children find something they don't like, they throw it away, thinking it's weak, or stupid. I think, that in doing that, they are becoming weak."
"How so?"
"Well, instead of trying to fix the problem, they're just making it worse by discarding it. It's the same with people. We find people we find weak, and instead of helping them become strong, we get rid of it. But Fairy Tail is different. I suppose that's why everyone likes it so much. We all help each other become stronger, because we're family."
He was weak. Laxus Dreyar may have been S-class, and an extremely strong mage, but he was weak, in heart. And he knew it. And so, he had decided, in his rage, that by throwing his sanity, his family, and feelings for his friends away, he was throwing away his weak self. And he did not care. Because he was weak. And having realised that, he had snapped. He threw away everything he had, and destroyed it all. But, whilst doing so, unknowingly, he was destroying his heart. And betraying theirs.
Question : Should I leave this as a one-shot or keep going? Plz let me know!:) Arigato Minna!
