"Edward! Alphonse! I have a job for the two of you!" Pinako shouted from underneath a tall tree. The two boys ran up to her, excited.
"Yes, Aunt Pinako?" Alphonse smiled, "What is it?"
"You see that fort at the top of this tree?" Pinako pointed upwards. Both boys squinted.
"Hardly." Edward stated smugly, "What's the big deal about some tree fort?"
"Climb up to the top of the tree, and wash the window on the roof." The boys nodded, and climbed up the tree, and found buckets of soapy water and rags up there.
"Brother, let's start on the outside part, okay?" Alphonse asked, as he set the buckets on the roof.
Edward shrugged, "Fine with me." The brothers started washing the outside of the window, and after an hour or so, Ed spoke up, "…I don't think it's getting any cleaner, Al…"
"Hmm…" Al sighed, "Hey! Maybe the outside's clean, but we just have to clean the inside now!"
"Right, Sherlock…" Ed groaned, as he went back inside the fort. The two started washing the inside of the window, and eventually, it was starting to get cleaner.
Soon, the light from the outside shone through the window, and right into Ed's eyes, "Dammit! Why the hell did that old hag want us to clean this!"
"I get it!" Al stated, " 'Let the light shine through your heart, and enjoy life. Don't dwell on the past.' " He said, imitating Pinako.
"…I still don't get it."
