The Ring
Samantha felt the cold of Jack's wedding ring as he held her tight. It sent chills all over her body and not just because it was cold. Because it reminded her of what she was doing and who she was doing it with. It reminded her that the love she felt for him should never exist. It reminded her of the marriage she was wrecking, of the two innocent little girls whose father she was taking away.
Slowly she released her self from his embrace and found her clothes. Silently she got dressed and reached for the writing pad that lay on the bed-side table. She quickly scribbled 'See you at work. Samantha.', then slipped out of the hotel room.
She knew once she got to work she that love she should never feel would come back and tomorrow morning she would be in the same situation again.
