62/100: Divide. Sephiroth/Genesis.
Another drabble.
Disclaimer - If I have to type this one more time, I will have to buy the rights fto FFVII, just to say "YES! I OWN THIS!". But as of this moment, I don't D:
Divide
Reasons
He had fled to protect Sephiroth. To protect himself.
It wasn't that he didn't trust Sephiroth with the knowledge of his birth or the fear that would accompany his mutation that led to Genesis deserting both ShinRa and his relationship. It was the disgust at the loss of his strength brought on by the degradation and the disdain that he was born a failure and spouted delusions of grandeur for the whole of his life. Genesis knew that there was nothing that would make Sephiroth hate him more.
But when he flew down from the ceiling of the laboratory under Reactor 4, holding his sword to Sephiroth's throat, it was what haunted those mako eyes that drove Genesis off the knife-edge of his sanity.
