Of Poseidon
One day, a girl named Emma, who had dirty blonde hair and violet eyes went to Florida with her best friend in the world, Chloe and her family. They were swimming outside of the reef when all of a sudden, a stingray and jellyfish showed up. They had to swim at fast as they could to the reef, but Chloe wasn't fast enough. "CHLOE!" Emma screamed. She swam back out for her because well, they were best friends. She had tried to tell the stingray and jellyfish off before they hurt Chloe and they obeyed. Emma was shocked. Ohmysweetgoodness,what did I just do? Emma had asked herself immediately. Chloe stood on the reef, shock, surprise and gratitude on her face. "What just happened here, Em?" Chloe had asked her best friend when they reached the beach. "I have no clue," was Emma's answer. It was like the time she fell into her family's pond at home when she was younger and the carp had helped her out because she couldn't swim yet. Is it possible that I can communicate with fish, or is it preposterous? Emma thought. She called her mom to get her opinion. "You can talk to fish, honey. There is something I need to tell you before anything else happens that my kind could get exposed for," her mother had told her. "I am Syrena, kind of a mermaid and you are a Half-Breed, the result of a human and full Syrena. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I didn't think you were ready to know until now." "Well, maybe if you'd told me sooner, I wouldn't have been so confused!" had been Emma's answer. The next day, Emma and Chloe went back to the beach but this time, they spent a bit on the boardwalk. "Oooh!" Chloe had squealed. "What are you squealing about?" Emma had asked her. "Check out that guy over there, about our age with a girl who may be his sister. He is perfect for you Em!" Chloe had gushed. "Maybe so but im not interested. C'mon, lets go swimming!" Emma tried to avoid the topic until they ran into a shark. The boy and girl on the boardwalk saw it heading straight for the two girls who had gone swimming. "Watch out!" the boy had cried. It was no use. It had already gotten the one girl with brown, curly hair. "Emma!" Chloe screamed. "Hey,shark, that's my best friend you have got in your teeth there. I suggest letting her go or I will pummel you." Emma tried and tried to get the shark to let go of Chloe but it was no ate Chloe whole. The boy and girl from the boardwalk approached Emma. "We know what you are. I'm Galen and this is my sister, Rayna. We are like you only we are full blooded Syrena." "Wait Wait wait. Slown down," Emma instructed. They explained everything. "Which is why we have to tell the underwater kingdoms about you." Galen said. "No way, no how!" Emma replied. "If you are going to tell them about me, you must know that my mother back home is the Poseidon Princess, Nalia, daughter of King Antonis." I hope we can negotiate something, Emma thought to herself.
