I cannot tell you how mad I was at myself when I wrote this. This is quite possibly one of the biggest RikuXion moments in all of 358/2 Days, and it never made it into OHS! This had to be written as atonement. Set on whatever day it is that Roxas and Axel go Xion-hunting and actually run into her - I believe it's right after Roxas passes out in Castle Oblivion, but as I don't have the game (*pout*), I'm not for sure. Huge friendly!Riku/Xion with potential to grow into something if they get the chance to let it be. Enjoy!

Riku isn't sure why he asks, only that it's the same reason he hasn't forcibly brought the skinny little Replica to DiZ. It isn't the way she clenches her eyes shut and grits her teeth as the two Organization members' voices drift over to them, he tells himself. Whatever pain she thinks she feels isn't worth risking his entire mission.
As the echo of footsteps around the corner fades, Xion swallows loudly and stalks away into a dark tunnel underneath Twilight Town, head hung low as she hides her face behind her black hair.
