I was a monster

We wanted to have a child
But I was afraid that he'd be like me
You convinced me that it didn't matter

We laughed
Our son's smiling face beamed up at us
You gave him to me to hold
I almost dropped him out of excitement

We fought
When Hogwarts needed help we came
We fought off many Death Eaters
We helped to buy time for Harry Potter

We died
We sacrificed ourselves for the greater good
We took many Death Eaters with us
Then death called out our own names
