Sharon and Brenda were at the LA Dodgers game together cheering along with the other fans. Sharon managed to win two tickets from Provenza and Flynn by playing office pool over "Amy Sykes and Cooper getting engaged." Sharon predicted it would be less than three weeks while Flynn and Provenza were positive that it would be later or never. Sharon was glad to win those tickets seeing as they were the best seats at the game. If she had lost, she would have had to treat them out to dinner. After Sharon realized that Rusty was unable to attend because of the prospective student night at the college, she thought of her friend Brenda. Sharon knew it had been awhile since they had been together so she was surprised when Brenda accepted the invitation. She looked over at Brenda under the shade of her Dodgers baseball hat and smiled at Brenda cheering.
The game started to quiet down because of the break.
"Hey, I probably shouldn't tell you about it, but I don't work for LAPD anymore so why not. Do you wanna know how Flynn and Provenza got in trouble over Dodgers tickets?" Brenda asked. Sharon rolled her eyes and nodded.
Brenda told her the story about how Flynn and Provenza failed to report a dead body in Provenza's garage because of skybox tickets for Dodgers game. Sharon laughed so much at the image of how Brenda and her team went out to cover their tracks. She laughed as Brenda smiled at her.
She heard people yelling, "Kiss, Kiss" over and over. Sharon looked up to the big screen and gasped. She saw herself and Brenda on the screen. The idea popped into Sharon's mind and she licked her lips a little to wet them.
Sharon looked at Brenda and leaned in to whisper into Brenda's ear, "Chief, I know Flynn and Provenza are watching the game. Let's give them something to look at."
Brenda nodded slowly and moved herself turning toward Sharon.
Sharon put her hand on Brenda's neck and leaned in. They kissed. The whole crowd went wild. Sharon's hat fell over because of Brenda's hands were in her hair. Brenda and Sharon grinned after letting go of each other a little bit.
Brenda and Sharon kissed again on the screen of Provenza's TV. Flynn's mouth hung open and Provenza rubbed both of his eyes with two hands to see if it had really happened.
When the shock worn off, Flynn shook his head slightly. "I will never look at Sharon the same, but pay up twenty bucks for Sharon inviting Chief and another fifty bucks saying they're together," Flynn said. Provenza grumbled as he pulled out his wallet.
