Kyou's A/N: This was written by my friend, who wishes to go by the name of Tohru. This is her fic, and I'm posting it for her. There's a part one of this fic that you need to read first. It's in the profile, if nowhere else. Also, this is a repost of a fic I had posted on my account before we got this co-account. That said, please RnR!

Tohru's A/N: Okay, so some time has passed now. It's up to you to decide how they got to where they are now! Have fun! n.n

Part 2: On My Way Home

"I'm taking her back." Sesshomaru stood over Rin's bleeding master. He wouldn't die, but the scars would stay on his body and his ego for a long time.

"Come, Rin." The frightened girl scurried after him.

I have been given

one moment from heaven

as I am walking surrounded by night,

They had been walking all day, with occasional stops, but Rin still could find nothing to say to her rescuer. Finally, words were able to form on her lips. A memory flitted through her head. "You saved me." Silence. But she could tell he was listening, so she continued, "When those wolves killed me. You brought me back to life. You saved me." Her eyes filled with tears.

Stars high above me

make a wish under moonlight.

Please accept me, she thought. Does he even remember? She hoped with all her might that he would help her remember everything she'd forgotten. Suddenly, Sesshomaru stopped. So did Rin. He turned to face her. She froze. What was going on? Suddenly, he walked over, pulled her to him, and hugged her.

"Yes. And I saved you again. I will never let anything like that happen to you ever again, Rin."

On my way home

I remember

only good days.

As they walked, all the bad memories of the past few years began to fizzle out. Like a photo book, Rin's memories of everything that had happened since Sesshomaru had first saved her began to come together. She couldn't remember anything bad, though. Only an uncomfortable feeling.

On my way home

I can remember

every new day.

She remembered laughing, playing, and happiness under her lord's watchful eyes. He seemed insensitive, but Rin know that her kidnapping must have brought incredible pain to his emotionless face.

I move in silence

with each step taken,

Memories bombarded the girl's heart. Not used to his servant's silence, Sesshomaru looked back over his shoulder. Rin's head was down, and she seemed to be watching her feet. Tears. Tears were streaming down her face. She lifted her head and looked at him. A smile. A genuine, happy smile. Those were tears of joy.

Snow falling round me

like angels in flight,

Rin looked to the heavens and held out her hand to catch the snowflakes. They both stopped. Sesshomaru watched as the ragged, shoeless girl spun and danced in the snow. Her eyes were closed and she began to hum. And her smile never left. If she had taken a good look at her master's face, she would have seen the slightest ghost of a smile playing on his lips. His eyes softened as he realized how happy she made him. She was melting his frozen heart, and was entering where not even he had ever dared to enter.

Far in the distance

is my wish under moonlight.

"We're almost home." Home. The name resounded in her head. She peered through the snow in the direction he was pointing, and could barely make out the castle. With a skip and a grin, Rin caught up and linked her arm through his. "I'm ready." She said. And as they began walking again, Sesshomaru smiled, and her heart swelled. She was finally going home.

On my way home

I remember

only good days.

On my way home

I remember all the best days.

I'm on my way home

I can remember

every new day...
